What made Calderon so great last year?  Do you even remember? It was the fact that he would turn the corner and drive the lane, forcing teams to respect his drive and his shot. And I did watch that clips game, I watch Mike Taylor cover calderon while they ran BD at the 2 and Fred Jones at the 3. That should explain the IQ of the clips, being that Fred Jones in their starting SF.

taylor doesnt start games though, the PGs that were starting were Jose and Davis..and Davis was playing most of the game guarding Jose, taylor pretty much came in at garbage time while Roko was out there.

If he is really that good of a free throw shooter why isn't he playing to his own strength? That ast-to ratio stat is inflated as well. Besides Chris Paul, the other top guys in the league are Antonio Daniels, Travis Diener and other backup pg's. Its not a real stat. First of all I never blamed the season on Calderon. I just said I don't like him. This season is a combo of poor roster moves, bad coaching, and injuries.

Second, They might be forward's but Calderon has the ball in his hands 100x more then both of them and plays 100x more minutes. As a PG you do what you have to win. Calderon, at 9 million a year, is suppossed to be an offensive threat. Wouldn't you rather him score 30 and win then bosh score 30 and lose?

Calderon certainly isn't as good as some of his statistics may suggest (and for the record, he gets to the line virtually as often as top 5 PG Steve Nash, so let's not focus on that too much), but he's solid, an average all-around starter at worst. Let's not blame him too much
