  • Wow, there seem to be a lot of Volvo 140's over there!! I've watched a few of these traffic lady videos and in almost everyone I've seen a Volvo 140! Green, red and blue ones! Two green ones in this video!

  • Lol it would be funny if she got ran over by a bus.... Lmfao

  • Why so few bicycles? The masses can't even afford a bicycle? I can go to a thrift store and get one for $10 in the decadent west.

  • whata shity society they got there

  • Pretty wide roads

  • In the USA, the women would've been run over long ago by some stupid fuck yakking on the cellphone........ then when they pull her/him over he/she will say "I did what?" all the while with the cellphone still glued to their ear.

  • Where the fuck do these people get Toyotas?

  • @MultiAREE

    ummm....from japan?

north korea isnt on a different planet lol

  • @TheRussianMILF Like literally, there is almost no fucking middle class in NK, either everybody is below the poverty line, or the the Government officials driving the luxury cars.

  • @MultiAREE

so they arent allowed to own toyotas?

  • @TheRussianMILF If you really are Russian, you would know what the Communism theory on Private ownership is, only it's MUCH worse in NK

    Говориш по Русски?

  • @MultiAREE

doesnt change anything. If the north koreans want to buy cars, they CAN get them from the surrounding countries, although it might be more complicated than buying cars in other countires.

  • @TheRussianMILF Only high ranking officers and those with government ties can.

You don't just *see* showrooms in Pyongyang. And the average salary there is worse than laughable.

  • @MultiAREE

most of these cars in the video are from about 20 years ago. Until the 90's the north was actually much wealthier than the south, until the norths main allies, russia and china , began to decline

  • @TheRussianMILF I don't agree on the fact that NK was better than SK before the 80's

  • @MultiAREE

    *fact*

  • @MultiAREE Honestly the economic figures as far as North Korea being better than South Korea lasted about until the Mid 70's actually. The North rebuilt much much faster with Soviet and Chinese aid after the Korean War. Both were dictatorships until the South democratized in the late 70s and early 80s. The Souths life expectancy outweighed the Norths starting only in 1988-1990. Today though.. Sure North Korea has gotten worse but most of it is the fact that South Korea has gotten much better..

  • @TheRussianMILF wait, China began to decline? wow haha uhm okay allright.

  • @mostar1991 well, they stopped being militarily aggressive when the soviets fell

  • Juche is about self reliance. But North Korea would collapse if China cut off food and fuel to North Korea.

Therefore, North Korea cannot be self reliant (have Juche) without China.

  • they must of got all of the cars in the city to drive past seeing as ur not allowed to own ur own one

  • YESS PHYSICISTS HAVE FINALLY CREATED A TIME MACHINE......no worries it only works for the past now, but the future version is soon to come xD

  • I've seen videos of these women directlng traffic when they're isn't a single car in sight - talk about surreal!

  • И дома и автомобили выглядят как в СССР в 80-е. Для всех ностальгирующих - страна из ХХ века

  • now we can see what driving at 200 miles an hour feels like! with no cars no problem!

  • There won't be any traffic jam when I'm the only one riding her.

  • Why do all the vehicles sound like they're about to break down? And I think they don't use traffic lights because of the black outs..if they had any, they would probably work about 4 hours each day...traffic cops are much more reliable

  • @speew ----------Why do all the vehicles sound like they're about to break down?-------->Because this is a Pyongyang city video :) If I remixed these vehicle sounds w/ some urban landscape from Seoul or Osaka, I can bet u my goat we'll have a different set of reactions 2 them .

  • they all ignore......

  • No wonder why they use police women at every traffic block in the city, cuz they dont even have traffic lights!!!

  • For once i thought its Russia with all the Russian Cars,Buses,Vans etc lol

  • what a ugly city ;D i understand why it´s a closed country

  • a most beautiful country. I wish I lived there instead of the dumb USA of America.

    -from California.

  • @203207ab

Yes, you can go to NK right away and no one will stop u.

After u leave, there would be 1 person less to use the american government wealfare which comes from our tax payers' pockets.

  • well that looks safe....

  • those people really like Mercedes =p

  • Woho a green Volvo!!

  • LOL It's illegal to film police or any government working people without their permission so this is not legal in DPRK

  • @SMGJohn

It is also Not legal to film any police officers without permission in the states.

  • lol huge ass military but almost no traffic lights. srsly?

  • Lot of cars on North Korean rate

  • hahahahahah look at those broken down shitty cars from the 70's era

  • This is like south korea but ghetto version and no traffic lights

  • Yep

  • Isn't this Detroit?

  • @axe863

No - in Detroit the buildings look more scruffy!

  • 0:18 - Nice! A Volvo 144!

  • well i doesnt seem that bad in korea

  • The Juche Idea is the solution to remove the traffic jams from the big cities!!

  • so danger

  • this seem quite busy considering its north korea

  • How could you tell what she looked like from that distance? All I can determine from that is that she is female.

  • Really... far better then our streets in Italy! No risk get stuck in traffic! :D

  • how did you get a video?! I'm going to N. Korea this summer for 3 days! I'm not allowed to have my phone or anything...then to S. Korea which I'm sure will be more fun....

  • A mix of Chinese, Russian, Japanese, and German vehicles. Interesting.

  • I like the roundabout cutting

  • I always see at least one old Mercedes Benz when I see this videos, or another old luxurious car. Who use those?

  • Supposedly the Government's automobiles. Civilians are not allowed to drive, businesses and Government only.

  • Private vehicles are now allowed. Black letters on yellow plates. I saw three in Pyongyang in October. Not many, and locals confirmed that. Mostly sports stars and a few foreigners.

  • I want to hit that!

  • They're like fucking robots

  • true, so true

  • Yes they bought 500 volvo from sweden but they did never paid FUCK NORTH KOREA

  • They also bought paper mills and forgot pay those.

  • When Chinese trains enter North Korea to deliver supplies, the North Koreans even keep the trains. If they even treat their only "ally" like that you know how they treat others.

  • i never knew that... are u sure thats true?

  • @r2cool986 yep, 30 railcart goes across the river, around 26 comes back.

  • The LADA and green VOLVO that these guys never paid the Swedes for...vintage cars

  • I thought they had strict laws about filming in North Korea. Howcome they didn't bother you. or is it really not that bad?

  • Uff la vieja esta como buena, valdría la pena pasar en carrito, darle una palmada en la nalga........

    jajajajaja

  • Ay, que fuerte, tio....

I´m rather impressed by the vintage cars, too.

  • Wow, NK has vehicles newer than 20 years old? Amazing!

  • That was cool. At :29 it looked like dose two cars were going to collied, but they didn't. It's like it was rehearsed.

  • This whole city is like a sham a giant game. All of it is a giant show propaganda. Only certain people can live in the city while the rest die.

  • I wish i was a dictator, is that wrong? bUT hey what do you mean? Do u mean, like, they're all actors?

  • I wish i was a dictator, is that wrong? bUT hey what do you mean? Do u mean, like, they're all actors?

  • Picture perfect, right? JK. I meant she acts like a robot. Hey wouldn't be funny if someone ran her over? LOL

  • hopefully they sell those uniforms in my favorite sex shop. so i can have my girl directing me

  • HAHAHAH!!!

  • I've never been to the DPRK. Is every intersection like that...a traffic guard instead of a roundabout or traffic light?

  • Your mom is dirt poor and backwards.

  • apparently there's huge motorways/freeways in NK and not a car on them, yet they're prefectly maintained..

  • yep, ready to be used by huge convoys in the event of war!

  • seems like a boring ass job...

  • The policewoman's not doing a very good job. It looked like those two vehicles on the left were going to collide (00:29)...

...oh silly me I forgot! Everything in Pyongyang's for show anyway.

  • lol, volvo 240:s, whom the NKDR goverment purchased from Sweden and never payed for

  • I bet thats rush hour. lol

If they just put a mannequin there, I'm sure no one would notice.

  • Oh my god this is pathetic!

  • well at least she have a job... if we had same aditute in america this would solve our unimployment problem

  • Was that a green Volvo I saw driving by? And a new Mercedes and a fairly modern Toyota van? I don't know but all this talk about North Korea being in such bad shape...I hope the U.S. does not engage in the same type of propaganda techniques as dictatorships do!!

  • hi,

it is obvious that this is not a "set up" just like the other videos where the kids are starving, I mean there are a lot of countries in which kids live in the streets and even here in America I've seen mistreated kids, but their parents cover it up so they won't get in trouble. The U.S. just tries to make you believe that every country that does not follow the democrat idea is having a bad time but honestly, I do not notice any people suffering here.

  • Hi.

  • You don't notice anyone suffering in Pyongyang, a city that is a showcase capital for high ranking government officials, and is fenced off from the rest of the country? Imagine that!

  • wow....FINALLY someone else sees what the city is actually for, show.

  • @lemonrind ---------->Life in Delhi is better than life in shitholistan village. As a NAM country visitor to both the Korea's (my country is not hostile to DPRK) I can safely say that average life in Kaesong is better than life in Pyongyang. Life in Pyongyang is MORE restricted compared to other city's in DPRK. U r not allowed to make alterations in a Pyongyang home- u cannot fit an A/C etc....u can in any other NK city....

  • @xxxdieselyyy Because the dear leader will then be made at you

  • Very Good Comrade saw this link on KFA website

  • Looks to me like nobody is paying attention to her...?

  • Do they really catre what she waves at ?? LOL

  • Accualy, this summer they fired a long range ballistic missile from nkorea over japan and into the sea. Sorry if my enlish is a bit bad, I am Swedish.

  • The policewoman certainly knows what she's doing. Not many people are capable of directing such heavy traffic.

  • I dont think they get hit often. Cant even think what will happen if you kill a police officer in North Korea. I would have drived with great cushion

  • i think the punishment will be a firing squad

  • They meet the Kyoto protocol a 100 times over??? get the fuck outta here, they got nuclear weapons and one on drop on Tokyo or Seoul, and they have undue any "saving" they had.

  • I just wonder how often they are hit? I have seen the Japanese traffic cops standing on the little platform. You would not get me to do it.

  • It's not that they're so poor they can't afford stoplights (if they can afford nuclear weapons...)

It's that they have to give everyone a job. In a failed economy, there's not many jobs to give around. This is one of the options. (Because Welfare would be against such a system of Communism)

  • also they don't have enough electricity to run the stoplights

  • The reaso isnt for that if they can afford those massive mionuments for that Kim 2 sung the can afford some crappy traffic lights. The reason that she exists is that the cuntry is running out of job ideas

  • That is not a major intersection. They turn off all excess electricity at 9pm. Read a damn book.

  • They're so poor they can't even afford stoplights! HAAAAAAA! That's communism for ya! Really though.

  • Wow.. isn't it great not to see all that visual pollution of McDonald's, 7-elevens and starbucks?!

To those people commenting on their 'backwardness' - at least they will never be blamed for contributing to global warming. They meet the Kyoto protocol a 100 times over :D

  • I was there in oct 2006. its a horrible dismal place, even the parts we were allowed to see. you have the choice to go to starbucks if you want or not. those people are trapped in a horribly evil system.

  • Well why dont you try getting into youtube from your hotel room in Pyongyang. You are a typical left wing schmuck. You think North Korea is so great, but you wouldnt have the balls to acutally go and live there.

  • it's never group against group of people; it's prowar against conwar. and yeah, tyrant is ones who force belief as they think good on others. when confronted moral judgement, they make excuses or exceptions for themselves why doing bads whereas the other shouldn't even with the same methodlogy but the same mind.

  • "...DIFFERENT methodlogy but the same mind." rev1.0

    ...i'm like microsoft~@@~

  • Kim Jong Il must die.

  • Woah, that actually looks quite busy for north korea...

  • Wow, this is 2007 not 1927.Maybe they will have stop lights by the mid fiftys.

  • Pyongyang the showcase city of nk look at all the economic success, of this bustling capital city when china bordering nk , is like a utopia compared to here, check out shanghai or south korea, on you tube, nk is third world because its great leader is keeping it that way, this video or racist posts by by blind great leader ass lickers is not going to make people fall to the ground & worship the great leader it will make us laugh

  • Oh, God I see the danger with her life. I am afraid that someday a drunken driver might fail to see her in the middle of the intersection.

  • Liqour so easy to come by in North Korea? Let alone someone owning their own car? Besides in communist countries, like Soviet Union, car drives you.

  • A human traffic controller, is this real in this 21st century world?

  • hahahaha ghetto ass north korea. they still play with ataris and have JUST heard of MC Hammer

  • u know, people who post comments like you should be shot to death. thanks to people like you the world hates U.S.A. you must be either 12yo, or 20yo, either white trash from a bad trailer park or just another stupid nigger. Klaus, cleveland, ohio

  • who cares what everyone else thinks. we run s##t.

  • sound like you didint learned nothing of 9 11, maybe after they do same with nuclear.

  • You know, you sound just as douchey and aren't helping your cause either dude. When you reccomend people being shot to death for their shitty opinion, you make rednecks look civilised. And then you wonder why Americans have a bad rep...

  • No, they don't play with Ataris, they don't play anything, they WORK on Rice-fields.

  • No they don't all work on rice fields but obviously your brain mass would not even be enough to do that.

  • Why do you insult me?

  • I can honestly see that stupid cow get hit by a huge bus or truck one day!! lol

  • she's not doing that great a job by the looks of things...that brown van and blue car almost sideswiped each other in the far corner at 00:29!

  • I LOVE Pyongyang!

  • LMAO. I'm not sure they need traffic cops with such a small amount of traffic. I love it when she points to the right "The Dear Leader wants you to go THIS WAY!", LOL.

  • Damn that cars remind me of Soviet Union in middle 80ies (i didn't live in that time but I saw many films..)And this in PYONGYANG? lol. BTW the only capital in the world without traffic lights - even third world countries have some.

  • North Korea *is* a third world country.

    God, I hate people.

  • she needs a big lung

  • poor girl
