Not crouched, or proper back positioning.

The loose prop should also bind at the shorts to help raise the hooker off the ground for easier hooking movement.

I have been playing rugby now for 10 years. I now play for the England Under 18 International Squad and I attend the American International school in Frankfurt. Being a rugby player and going to a school with americans, I get to learn about peoples dofferant oppinions to both the games. We Tackle, they tackle. We scrum, lineout, ruck, maul and more, but american football doesnt. they can have bigger hits than ruby because rugby players have guidelines to follow.

I am American, played both sports, and my opinion, is rugby is such a tough, rougher, harder, than football. Rugby is a non-stop sport, with more contact, more time on the field. Football is a 5 second at a time sport, with many breaks. I know i am going to get like 50 people telling me different but, whatever. I personally know of 2 kids who went into comas playing junior grade rugby (under 16's) here in New Zealand. The first one had a heart attack after being tackled and actually died twice on the field after being ressusitated. The second one is still in hospital but both will never play again obviously.

I've never used the grab the hooker's collar technique and the locks didn't seem very tight but for just showing basic positioning, what they're doing is correct. You dont bind around the leg... it inhibits the props movement.

Props bind around the opposite side of the hooker underneath the arms and around the front chest area.

The locks bind onto the props beneath the legs and hold onto the bottom of the props jersey NOT shorts.

Before the engage the locks should be on the balls of thier feet... not on thier knees.
