  • Underrated Character Actors

    Ted Knight in Caddyshack

Warren Oates here in Stripes (Drill Instructor)

  • I wanna party with you cowboy! Me and you together....forget it! Lol. Fucking hilarious

  • Harold Ramis' reactions when John Candy is talking is hilarious

  • "so just keep your meathooks off"

  • "Then again maybe we won't"

  • The end was the best.

  • I love this movie, remember watching it at my neighbors house as a kid when cable just came out :) .

  • @3:47 - It's the stories they tell... I wanna party with you!

  • Black dude at :58!!! "Oooohhhhh!!!" hahahahaha YES!

  • @77j i loved ghostbusters!

  • WHAT A JERK

  • Still funny as hell, laugh your ass off dialoge.

  • This movie is 30 years old :(

  • @paydirt78 Still just as good though.

  • "...if we ever get into real, heavy combat, I'll be right behind you guys...every step of the way." - Then no nods of approval or anything like that from the other soldiers - just stares. heeheeheehee

  • "What a jerk!" - Hee, Hee.

  • who disliked?

"any of you homos touch me, and ill kill ya"

  • So just keep your meathooks off

  • "I've always been kind of a pacifist. When I was a kid, my father told me... Never hit anyone in anger unless you're absolutely sure you can get away with it."

Sounds like a pretty good philosophy. LOL

  • I can't believe I'm saying this, but I feel that Harold Ramis steals the spotlight from Bill Murray a few times in this movie, he's really a funny actor.

  • Dude @ 2:15 = awesome

  • This entire movie was filmed at Fort Knox...in the reception area where new troops come in and stay for a week before being assigned to a company. I was there...My DI, SSGT Stodgil was the guy who helped train Warren Oats for this role while on base. If you look at the scenes where they are supposed to be in Eastern Europe, you can see the water tower in the back ground with the armor insignia on it.

  • Too many scenes in this movie can make anyone say, "YEAH RIGHT..." Lotsa shit in the movie just does NOT happen without court martials galore.

  • @SonnyChiba57 UH, it's a Comedy. Not to be taken seriously.

  • @blurfist Ummm..if you've ever been in the real army you know what I'm talking about...

  • @SonnyChiba57 It seems like blurfist knows exactly what you are talking about. I think you are the one missing the point. This is not a US Army training film, this is not a documentary, this is a comedy. It's supposed to be funny. You need to forget about reality and just kick back and appreciate it for what it is. In otherwords; "Lighten up, Francis"

  • @SonnyChiba57 Lighten up, Francis!!!

  • God I miss John Candy

  • That is NOT Bill Paxton playing the part of Lee Harvey!!

  • i luv the DIs faces when theyre introducing hes like omg kill me

  • lol at the faces russel makes through ox's intro xD

  • 1:27, hey it's the guy from Fast times at Ridgemont high

  • Lee Harvey was played by a very young Bill Paxton. I believe it is uncredited.

  • @crdafoe No

  • pretty much all of this scene- especially Bill Murray's parts- were improvised by the cast

  • 1 idiot missed the like button

  • Any of you rates this video bad...and I'll kill ya.

  • Does anyone know the actors name that played Lee Harvey? I can't find him in any cast listings for the movie.

  • One of the best scenes in cinematic history, bare none.

  • @moco635 one of the - if not t-h-e - most insightful

comments in the history of youtubedom

  • If only I could be as charismatic and cool as Bill Murray in this movie. He is the epitome of a real charmer.

  • Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and John Candy are also so hilarious in this scene.

"Chicks dig me because I rarely wear underwear, and when I do it's usually something unusual."

  • Would you have the scenes when Winger starts complaining to Sgt. Hulka about the platoon not getting enough rest and Hulka tells Winger that they're gonna run 10 miles instead of 5 miles or the scene where Stillman freaks out at the platoon for getting caught by the MP's?

thnx for the 'tube laff riot flick (first half anyway)

  • I wanna know how many times Oates had to do his response to Murray at the end. you KNOW he's forcing back more laughs there, as he stifles the one that lets loose, while coming to his feet.

right up there with the dart scene in Will Ferrell's movie (can't remember the name right now)

  • LOL at that line.

  • candy's quip at 15 seconds is milk thru the nose funny

  • R.I.P John Candy

we'll never forget you, sweet prince!!

  • The dude who plays the Lee Harvey, GOD DAMN, that is one stupid looking dude!!

  • The scene's a bit of a drag. With the exception of Psycho, none of the men in the room can steal a scene from Warren Oates. Why, may I ask, does the world love Bill Murray? The guy is tedious.

  • RU sirius????

you are the one who's tedious.

how many movies have you starred in, Francis?
