This entire movie was filmed at Fort Knox...in the reception area where new troops come in and stay for a week before being assigned to a company. I was there...My DI, SSGT Stodgil was the guy who helped train Warren Oats for this role while on base. If you look at the scenes where they are supposed to be in Eastern Europe, you can see the water tower in the back ground with the armor insignia on it.
