  • hell yeah

  • just one of those songs eh

  • FUCK THE COPYRIGHT JEWS

  • Drummer wants French Fried Taters and Mustard.. mmm'yep.

  • A damn near perfect pop song. Hail Canada!

  • Thumbs up if you're still listening to this in 2011/2012

  • Great road trip song

  • AWSOMEEEEEEEEEEEE EH:)

  • Heard The Odds On Itunes Classic Rock....Glad I Did EH:)

  • They sound alot like Sloan in this song.

  • I don't think I ever would have found this catchy tune without Satelitte radio! Thanks Satelitte radio, you indeed do rock, even if you are miles and miles away!

  • I met these guys and talked to them. They're pretty cool

  • why does the song sound like its slowing down than speeding up every couple seconds?

  • can't believe this was 14 years ago.... I was in Jr. High. I feel old.

  • Two people aren't cool.

  • Great band....Canada's version of Weezer.........

  • @justmebuk

Real big fan of Weezer too (but not the more recent stuff)....but the Odds were definitely doing their own thing...just great musicians. They were not a "Canadian version" of something south of the border that didn't even come until 5 years later.

  • Wicked tune!! Love the lyrics. My eyes were literally glued to MuchMusic in the 90's. I don't even think they play any music now.

  • @Daniea3 Yeah , I just happened to turn to Much Music at that time and this video was just starting so I watched it and it became one of my favorite songs . I even went to see them in Edmonton during our Klondyke Days , one year , during the time when they were hot and they were great ! It was outdoors and the sun was shinning and I was sipping on a cold beer , man what a blast that was . It's funny how you will find the song you'll just love , sometimes by accident .

  • @phobias1000 Oh, that really sounds like alot of fun!! : ) There is so much Canadian music I would not have heard if it weren't for MuchMusic once upon a time. Videos were king....and live shows were just wicked!

  • Craig Northey is alternately a dead-ringer for Joel Plaskett and Al Jardine in this vid. Awesome.

  • Always Love to hear it !!!!!!!!!!

  • great tunes of the 90's man.....i was a high schooler gettin girls with songs like this!!!!

  • COOL!!!!!!!!!

  • These guys are playing at a show in Runcorn with my band! Can't wait! xD

  • It's a shame Nickleback got famous and these guys didn't.

  • the dislike bar is like lady gagas penis its small and shouldnt be there in the first place

  • Most of the 90's was the best, the end of the 90's was awful. But this is another classic that I remember from growing up. Listening to this stuff, as I approach the ripe young age of 30, brings back amazing memories of my youth.

  • @rm630610

Could not have said it better, my friend.

  • This takes me back to summer 1997 in Wildwood, NJ. I hooked up with this cute Irish chick. This was on the local radio station several times a day that summer. Never got sick of it.

  • The 90's was the best.

  • They were an awesome band in the 90's !~~~~

  • True muscians who are worthy of being music snobs! I lOVE them!

  • Holiday Train , if you don't mind , where is that . It's a Canadian band , so is that in Canaday? I sure would like to see them again. If you hear of any gigs in Edmonton , let me know on here , I listen this song regularly . *y

  • Great song!

  • saw them 3 wks ago at the holiday train, really didn't listen to them before, but they put on a good show . really like their songs glad they're back maybe they'll record again one day.

  • Great tune and fun vid!

  • I saw them live in Edmonton , shortly after i discovered this song and they were great , and it was a sunny day around 5 pm , and i was high and outdoors and drinking ber they sold there at Klondyke Days !! I f ' n love this song !!

  • In the words of Tom Petty, "Don't bore us, get to the chorus..." Perfect pop song.

  • this sounds similar to the song Ginger by David Devant & His Spirit Wife in the beginning guitar riff.

  • awesome song and very cool video

  • were supporting these on the 5th of november, look at my channel :+

    thats my band haha

  • Ah, memories when Canadian rock was kicking arse.

  • What a fuckin awesome video! Not to mention the song.

  • Northey's cool. Don't question it.

  • What a great song, hidden away in BC. Along with Pagliaro, the best rock and roll in Canada that never gets heard.

  • iss that Plaskett? the singer?

  • @nickpro11 Nope not plaskett. but you could say northey is the west coast plaskett.

  • Is the song I have been looking for since 1996? Let's see... Yes, it is. Thank Heaven.

  • Truly underrated

  • great band

  • I got to see the band open for Warren Zevon twice. Does anyone have a video of their concert from that era? If the band has one, please release it!

  • How the fuck does this classic only have 5000 views?

  • @govern0r : It simply means only few people have good taste in this world. ;-) . If this went to as high as 25 million views then this must be "Jai Ho" of the pussycat dolls or something. lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @govern0r Three months later and it's now up to 11,000 =D

  • @Jaynification one month and it's hit 12 674

  • @govern0r -- I know what you mean! I LOVE this song! It's SO under-rated! I really relate to it! :)

  • @govern0r Every uncool person out there is too busy listening to Lady Gaga.

  • @Nebulatus lmao, so true. Good call.

  • @govern0r --Yeah ! That is ridiculous !!

  • @govern0r You must have motivated people, they're at nearly 10x the views.

  • @govern0r 41 thousand a year later

  • @govern0r its got a few more now!

  • Instant favorite~!

  • Man, the 90's were great thanks to music like this. Captures a time when life was great, the sun was shining, the liquor was flowing, and I didn't give a fuck about anything! Then it all went to shit after Bush, 9/11, corporate fraud, and ongoing economic woes. Let's hope this next decade is way the fuck better!

  • This song makes me proud to be a Canadian!

  • @ColonelPopsicle This song makes me proud to be a Canadian too !!!!!

  • @ColonelPopsicle Absolutely, eh! :) These guys are awesome!

  • @ColonelPopsicle Definitely!!! Well said!!!

  • So cool how you guys played with Jonah!! XD

  • I love this song and these guys. My understanding is that this tune was written about Michael Bolton - you know, all fluff, no substance.

  • soul like a thimble swallowed up in symbols wanting what I don't need if sympathy's the answer I'll have temporary cancer but that's not what I'll have you believe It was the suit that got me the gig It was the tear that got me the girl I'm a sheep in this wolf's clothing I'm a picture that I'm holding of someone who is cool someone who is cool
  • in natural selection I've avoided all detection and the tender bits underneath all with window dressing and calculated guessing and a bark bigger than my teeth It was the suit that got me the gig It was the tear that got me the girl I'm a sheep in this wolf's clothing I'm a picture that I'm holding of someone who is cool
  • This takes me back to seeing you guys perform in Michigan 1997. A great show by an equally great band.

  • Thanks for re-posting this awesome video :D YT took it down ages ago and I haven't seen it since O___o
