I don't think I ever would have found this catchy tune without Satelitte radio! Thanks Satelitte radio, you indeed do rock, even if you are miles and miles away!
Real big fan of Weezer too (but not the more recent stuff)....but the Odds were definitely doing their own thing...just great musicians. They were not a "Canadian version" of something south of the border that didn't even come until 5 years later.
@Daniea3 Yeah , I just happened to turn to Much Music at that time and this video was just starting so I watched it and it became one of my favorite songs . I even went to see them in Edmonton during our Klondyke Days , one year , during the time when they were hot and they were great ! It was outdoors and the sun was shinning and I was sipping on a cold beer , man what a blast that was . It's funny how you will find the song you'll just love , sometimes by accident .
@phobias1000 Oh, that really sounds like alot of fun!! : ) There is so much Canadian music I would not have heard if it weren't for MuchMusic once upon a time. Videos were king....and live shows were just wicked!
Most of the 90's was the best, the end of the 90's was awful. But this is another classic that I remember from growing up. Listening to this stuff, as I approach the ripe young age of 30, brings back amazing memories of my youth.
This takes me back to summer 1997 in Wildwood, NJ. I hooked up with this cute Irish chick. This was on the local radio station several times a day that summer. Never got sick of it.
Holiday Train , if you don't mind , where is that . It's a Canadian band , so is that in Canaday? I sure would like to see them again. If you hear of any gigs in Edmonton , let me know on here , I listen this song regularly . *y
saw them 3 wks ago at the holiday train, really didn't listen to them before, but they put on a good show . really like their songs glad they're back maybe they'll record again one day.
I saw them live in Edmonton , shortly after i discovered this song and they were great , and it was a sunny day around 5 pm , and i was high and outdoors and drinking ber they sold there at Klondyke Days !! I f ' n love this song !!
@govern0r : It simply means only few people have good taste in this world. ;-) . If this went to as high as 25 million views then this must be "Jai Ho" of the pussycat dolls or something. lol.
Man, the 90's were great thanks to music like this. Captures a time when life was great, the sun was shining, the liquor was flowing, and I didn't give a fuck about anything! Then it all went to shit after Bush, 9/11, corporate fraud, and ongoing economic woes. Let's hope this next decade is way the fuck better!
soul like a thimble swallowed up in symbols wanting what I don't need if sympathy's the answer I'll have temporary cancer but that's not what I'll have you believe It was the suit that got me the gig It was the tear that got me the girl I'm a sheep in this wolf's clothing I'm a picture that I'm holding of someone who is cool someone who is cool
in natural selection I've avoided all detection and the tender bits underneath all with window dressing and calculated guessing and a bark bigger than my teeth It was the suit that got me the gig It was the tear that got me the girl I'm a sheep in this wolf's clothing I'm a picture that I'm holding of someone who is cool
hell yeah

Wicked tune!! Love the lyrics. My eyes were literally glued to MuchMusic in the 90's. I don't even think they play any music now.
