I was at Hot Topic the other day checking out the latest Ateyu cds and came across a couple CD's...the dude who worked their said if i liked good talented death metal I should check Lykathea Aflame out.

What a complete waste of time!! There were no chuga-chug riffs, no good emo vocals, and the song structures made no sense! Whatever hapened to the days of good metal??? Atreyu? Slipknot?

Avoid this junk and stick with good talented death metal: Limp Bizkit, Korn, slipknot, and Atreyu.

Music wise Elvenefris is a nice twist from "regular" metal, but it's partly spoiled by the mediocre vocalist, especially when he actually tries to sing in many of the songs.

The growling is a style of vocalization used by bands of this ilk for decades now as an added hostile element to create this ferocious tempest of atmospheric synergy.

There is no written law that says every type of vocal in a song must have a distinct pitch and be comprehensible. People who are vocal centric usually concentrate the most on vocals and leave everything else as background noise. People who don't obsess over clean vocals will listen to a every element of a song like this.
