maybe we think tat their costumes are weird now, however, it looked nice on them when dey were wearing it during 2000 - 2001.

i guess dey're giving koharu more lines 'cos of her popularity due to kirarin revolution now. however, i doubt her popularity will actually last tat long with her 'unique' voice. i'm not criticising her, just think tat kamei & risa shld get more lines instead of koharu, since dey sound way nicer.

Even though Rika's part is a smaller part compared to the whole song it means alot to be in the middle of a song. I think they believe Koharu fills in the role of the cute center girl for this song. It's wasn't only her 'unique' voice that got her that spot in the song.

I can't say I'm a Koharu fan, her being dubbed "miracle" somewhat bothers me as well, but the members of Morning Musume appear more and more as time goes on. An example would be Yossie, who wasnt featured much in Do it! Now and Happy Summer Wedding at all, but later gets the most solo lines in any one song than any other member in Mr. Moonlight Ai no Big Band, which also happens to be the first time the 5th Gen appears in a single.

yeah, there is a subbed video of it on here, but I can never seem to find it. He says there was one girl who did the worst on every aspect of the auditions, she failed in singing and dancing, but he also said he saw something unique and special in this girl and that is why he chooses her to be in the group: "Konno", and everyone is crying and shocked.

Thats not much of a surprise. Tsunku ONLY chooses bad people for the group. Although, every single one of them improved! I love konno now! I love all of morning musume! Expect I still have enough hate for one that didnt improve as promised... kusumi koharu. "miracle" psh. yeah right.

well people insist that goto maki was the only decent person her ever chose. Although I agree with you, he does choose people who start off badly and then improve greatly. I like that about tsunku he looks beyond their faults and sees their passion. lol

=/ I dont understnad at all. Linlin and Junjun are AMAZING singers but they get no solo lines at all. But koharu is one of the worst and she gets lots of lines lately even labeled "miracle child". Hm... I think I get it now. Everything in H!P is complete opposite! :D

No one really did get many lines in the beginning, except Abe-san. Tsunku probably gives lines according to popularity, as in, who do the fans want to see more of? Since RinRin and JunJun are new additions, they don't have the biggest fan bases out of the girls, and so they won't "sell" MM. This is also why Takahashi-san and Tanaka-san are currently the leads in MM's songs. No complaints there though, both of them are awesome singers.

Not really true. Takahashi-san already had a beautiful voice and could dance very well when she was picked, and basically the entire first generation. He didn't pick the 1st generation with the idea of an idol, he picked them for their talent. I really think Tsunku did an excellent job at picking all rounders until the 6th generation (not that I hate them...they're my second favourite generation!) because Shige-san couldn't sing. Although she did improve amazingly!

Tsunku has this philosophy of picking those with talent and potential, rather than the complete set. Maki would probably count as the one exception, but in the end I think Tsunku picked the right ones everytime. But yeah, Koharu's 'miracle' title does bug me too...

Lets just appreciate his excellent foresight, heck care about how he makes the choices.

But i do agree that Kusumi is like urgh. Shes also getting too bossy, as seen in Mikan. I'm glad i found a thread that hates her.

I think it's her popularity, with Koharu I mean. She is pretty, and is a seiyuu in kirarin revolution as well, which could help boost momosu's popularity ^^ but hey, that's just my opinion ^^

she has a unique voice and a unique way of breaking all syllables if she could, they just don't sound so well...

First, you have to be from Japan xD

Basically, sign up and go to the audition. There are a few criteria, though... For most auditions now, you have to have graduated 7th grade, but that's as much as I know.

You don't have to be from Japan. Many members, such as Mika Todd, isn't from Japan. She's from America, or Australia. There are also Chinese members. Can't you just speak Japanese without being Japanese and audition? Also, do you know how to sign up?

Mika Todd isn't a member of Morning Musume and JunJun and LinLin are special cases. You have to be in Japan and sign up for one of the auditions.

And you don't have to be from Japan, but I belive for the most part that you have to know Japanese and you have live there. One of the H!P kid members (I forget which) is American since she was born in Boston. But she is 100% japanese.
