Not only did the singing make the work less of a drudge, but I gather that the singing gave them all the rhythm to make the work easier to do. I would love to participate in something like this sometime! Just once! I'm a musician and I would be able to get the rhythm of doing something like this. I think these waulking songs are lovely too!
