Well I have a plant similar to this it's called a ROSE? it sprouted massively like yours so I pinched them off and stuck them in the gravel hopefully this was the right thing to do?? Any suggestions?
hey i have guppies too.. and there in my 20 gallon long... and i posted in one of the websites about adding schooling fish and they said that 20 guppies is way too much fish for a 20 long... i dont think so cuase there are open sapce every where and compared to yours mines look completely empty... i mean i kept them for 4 years and atleast they are healthy and disease free and they are reproducing like crazy too.. so do you think they are lying or that my guppies in my tank are perfect...?
hi, i just set up a planted aquarium and now after 3 weeks some of my plants are showing this brown spots on them does any one know what's causing this ?...thanx
Co2 is a nutrient for a plant so the more Co2 the more plush it gets and stronger greener and healthier it's easy to make and you'll see a huge difference within a week.
wow nice guppy tank i use to have 1 they was all getting on well breedeing intill my dad changed the tempture then it whent down hill for a week i changed it bk then we had to get rid of that small tank a week l8er cos we was moveing stuff around so we put the last 5 guppys into ure main tank
3:45 No not gassy , thats was just the mattress or fabric bending as I knelt on it, sounded a little like a fart .but when Its real you neednt guess !
Just some advice since I have been keeping freshwater and saltwater aquariums for a long time, when you put new plants in an aquarium, the pot that contains the plant's roots should be removed or else they will eventually rot away.
Well soil is the best way you can go but that involves dumping out all of the contents of the tank or starting up a new tank. If you are willing to do that then I definitely recommend the soil. But if you are not willing to start up another tank or dump out the current one, the other options are all the same and they work the same way. But besides the addition of nutrients, the most important thing that you have to apply is correct lighting. These plants need good lighting more than anything.
Amazon swordtail? Is this Echinodorus amazonicus? It doesn't need this silly basket. Just plant it in your gravel without this foam. It serves no real purpose. In fact it may keep the roots from growing properly.
10$ a piece? That's quite expensive. In Europe you can buy it for 1,5-2$ or less. Sometimes you even get it for free as a bonus.
@asalamalecom I think you read read somewhere your plant was a rossete plant that means leaves grow from the middle in all directions

I think the prices are high because of supply& demand , they are new and few so they jack up the price .I'll look up my species of sword tail .
