Veterans who have risked their life to serve this country do deserve something. Especially if they are mentally ill. Because most of the time that illness is connected to either injury or some type of mental trauma from serving. We need to send the message "if you serve this country, we will take care of you". My father was a Viet Nam Vet who ended up homeless because of very severe mental problems as a direct result of the war... He literally died on the streets and was buried in an unmarked grave! My father was a Viet Nam Vet who ended up homeless because of very severe mental problems as a direct result of the war... He literally died on the streets and was buried in an unmarked grave! i saw the whole clip. i also saw his response to edwards and letterman. he talked about there being 150K beds available every night for vets; if you'll notice, that doesn't answer the fact that, in spite of that, there are at least 200k vets still on the street.
