does koi have to be in a pond and is it hard to breed them. like 20 years ago before i waz born my mom's family had like 30 koi 4 inch to lik30 inch i wanted to figure this out

how do u know which one is male or female?

Whene hey swim after each other, the first is a female, the koi's ho follow are the males.

When the sesun is there then you cats the koi's how are chasing each other, put them in an other pond, let them spaw, after any hours they stop, put them back in de big pond and than wait for the the smale koi's come out.

That is 4 til 12 days depending the temperatuur.

Dont buy a fish of value such as Koi from Petsmart.... get it from a garden center... ebay has better fish then petsmart.

Ya... I work at Petsmart and we don't really get any good koi in... We do occasionally get a very attractive koi... but those times are few and far in between... So you should probably look somewhere else if you want good looking koi...
