Brian, sorry about a comment on a REALLY old video. but that very first shot of the GT was at the perfect angle... belive it or not the shape of this car can be ruined by using too high an angle at 3/4 view. sometimes it just looks flat and wierd. you got alot of dynamic angles and good shots on the GT.

for some reason in Michigan i have been seeing crazy cars lately. in the past month i have seen 2 ford GT's a ferrari Enzo a brand new Mercedes SLS AMG a lamborghini diablo and a gallardo.

the gt is a nice bit of gear , looks like a fun drive too from what i`ve seen, some of these super cars are nearly 100 track oriented, where is the fun in paddle shift? in the end if it is`nt fun to drive you might as well have a tonka toy on the mantle piece.

They only made the GT for a short time to make it special.. well no. Believe me if they thought they could make money out of the Fort GT they would make that and only that. They would spew them out in the thousands. Traditionally sportscars in USA have been sold with a loss or break even policy. To add some glory to their other brands. Its a pity tho because this Ford GT is the most exciting thing out of USA since.. The GT40. And SSC has sold 20 cars. Hardly a brand. Saleen is out of business.

That is true overall but the Corvette and Viper are both very profitable.

Saleen is out of business? When did that happen. Oh well, they became useless the day they decided to stop making the S7.

Again.. they didnt just decide to stop making the S7. They went bankrupt because they failed to sell any. If you are looking to pay the money needed for an S7 you need to look at what else is out there. Then many other supercars look more attractive. Unless you insist on buying american. Its old, unfashionable and hard to live with even for a supercar. I read the saleen guy is kicked from the brand and their equipment sold off. I think in the end they were just fitting blowers to Mustangs anyway

Lol yeah, blowers. I did think the S7 was well priced. It was like half the price of things like Enzos and McLaren F1's that it competed pretty effectively against. What cars would you look at though?

When it comes to Enzo and Mclaren its for people that really dont care about price and just want something ultra exotic. If I were realistically looking for a sportscar now it would be somethnig like Nissan GT, Ferrari 430, Aston martin but it would most certainly have ended up being some version of the Lamborghini Gallardo. Its got the best looks and the most presence. its totally awesome.

idk, the sallen s7 is better than almost any lambo, it just wasnt mass produced, so it was really exspensive to make, the ford gt however was america's only production supercar...I LOVE IT.

This and the SSC and S7 are America's top supercars. To be honest, the Corvette ZR1 could be called a supercar, but it's really just a Vette witha supercharger. The mid engine position is the way to go. With An American engine in the right place, i don't really see a car that can hang with the Ford GT

The Aero and S7 will beat a Ford GT on a track as will a ZR1, Ultima GTR, Gumpert Apollo, Zonda F, Koenigsegg CCGT and several other cars. The GT is good but its not quite that good.

If its one thing I like about American cars like the Viper, Corvette, Ford GT(40)...you can hit a pot hole and take a speed bump without even thinking about it.

In a Ferrari you will step out the car drenched in sweat. Not because of the crazy performance...but because you were in a cold sweat driving down a road with a hole deeper than 3 inches.

The great thing is that it is a proper supercar. Extremely good looks and stratospheric performance. And it costs less than a F430.
