@jeanann36 You may have watched the entire video, but apparently you're too stupid to understand what it meant. I would bet at least a thousand dollars that you did NOT use a bootable disk-based OS to change sethc into cmd.

how do you get to command prompt i clicked safe mode command prompt and then it just loads vista goes right back to you win log in screne how do you get it to bring up the window your showin to type it in...really need your help my kid forgot her password on her laptop with vista premium home

@myjizzureye I don't know if you've noticed, or if you're just blind/retarded/trolling, but the word "hack" was in quotations.
In fact, this is a "hack" in that it's a work around. In fact, "hacking" originally didn't have anything to do with computing. To hack simply means: ‘an appropriate application of ingenuity’. That said, the only reason that it is int he title is because people often search for the word "hack" when looking for this solution, so I put it there to make it searchable.
