stupid crappy album, brian did say it was funk done proper wataload of shit stupid videos awfull songs, they should pay fans thier due get their hotshit bdack and burn this album fuckingshit, queen pushing it to far
I remember buyng this album on summer 82. and my disappointment at its 'disco sound'. and how I later discovered it was a real masterpiece from musical genius, full of musical invention and singing abilities
well the lyrics say wht they say but wht if it slike multi trackd and its like Deacon cant dance another demo and thts like the reference LOL! i dont no
From today's perspective "Hot Space" is not at all that scary, because now we know that it's just a "flirt" with funk/disco sounds, not a sing they will abandon rock for disco or something, but you can imagine what the fans were thinking when they heard it for the first time. It was like "WTF?" Are you kidding me? I've bought a Queen album, not a Michael Jackson album!
Agreed. Earlier Queen albums had flirtations with non-rock. Just look at "Bring Back That Leroy Brown" and "Seaside Rendezvous" and "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" as proof.
Smoooooooooooth Companyyyyyyyyy... Freakin awesome, thanks again Fuller! This makes me reconsider if the glossy brass section is or is not necessary...
i love Hot Space!

it's your opinion, but for myself, it's a very interesting way, not far from the LP version.

Pity that they threw out the line "Let's make contact" 'cos it sounded pretty cool and funky. It wasn't necessary...
