Of interest to some, the building we see as Gerald's "exploded" closet at 1:12 is the interior of the same building seen in Alfonso Cuaron's Children Of Men (2008) during the scene when the Fishes first interrogate Theo. Obviously a popular shooting location in the UK.

I loved The Enormous Space, which this was based on... fascinated to see how they rendered the dizzying growth of the house - not a bad job at all

The Overloaded Man is a great companion story to this one and it would be intriguing to see a filmed version of that story - meaning is withdrawn from perception, leading to an abstract world and the usual Ballardian transgressions...
