  • i cant format. it says a concurrent second call was made before first is completed.

  • @xT3xTenaciousKillr hmm, interesting, make sure no other effecting programs are running or restart your machine

  • The intro was certainly longer than I liked but at least the rest of the video the straight to the point.

  • lol @ dik, into was too long, great tutorial though, and last but no least.. related videos: "worst nipple piercing reaction ever" ? lol..

  • ahhahahaha list dik :D

  • Ahahah list dik. Thanks for the tut.

  • Great video Thinks...!

  • excellent tutorial, i used it to update my bios with the sandisk usb i have, thanks heaps :)

  • Kudos! Great video, quick and to the point!!

  • @migueltrsctz Thanks!

  • RMPrepUSB will work under XP and make your USB drive bootable safely.

  • I have another problem the active partition is on my main HDD which is disk 0 how would i access the partition any ideas?

  • @kickassproductions14 Why would you want to mess around with your main hard drive partition? You could access it no problem whether its active or not, but making it not active would make it unbootable.

  • Will this work for a drive that is active like a partition that is on the Local disk of the PC will this take it off i don't want to make it active i want to make it unactive. What would be the command for that?

  • @kickassproductions14 yup, just don't type in active when setting up the primary partition

  • @Factrocks Thanks hope i can do this, this active partition was bugging me scince i made it i wantit out of my way lol.

  • @13GOW13 beans

  • @inakus with a boner

  • this DOESN'T make the USB bootable. My netbook doesn't even see it. I am sure I did everything correctly.

  • @ibex333 First, the tutorial only works on Windows Vista and above, not xp. Second, yes, of course it does. Making a portable medium bootable is separate from installing an operating system.

  • @Factrocks

This was done in Windows 7. The computer acts as if the flash drive isn't even inserted at all.

  • @ibex333 worked for me, so i guess you didn't do everything right. stop bitching and do it again

  • if i have external hard drive how would i boot something like ophcrack or kon boot?

  • @TravisNRG same process

  • @Factrocksi keep trying but i get NTLDR missing press ctl alt del to reboot

and also DiscMGR missing push ctl alt del to reboot

  • @TravisNRG thats exactly what you want to see! Why would we have a windows bootloader (NTLDR) on the external hard drive? Now go ahead and install an operating system, such as ophcrack or konboot, don't forget the syslinux bootloader!

  • @Factrocks i dont understand? it says NTLDR MISSING and only lets me reboot? how do i then instal the ophcrack?

  • @TravisNRG There are many tutorials online. Take a look at the tutorial on Pen Drive Linux's website. Or do a simple google search.

  • @Factrocks i dont have a flash drive or a cd i just have external hdd's im just wondering if it can not be done with a hard disc?.. cause i cant find information.... i looked pretty hard. everything is flash drive flash drive flash drive.. i just thought i would ask someone on youtube, thanks though.

  • @TravisNRG follow the same steps as if your external hd was a flash drive, it will work, both are a type of physical medium. Just in a flash drive there's no moving parts, thus its faster.

  • @Factrocks doesnt want to work for me... i have the external drive formated to NTFS and set on primary drive... this correct?

  • @TravisNRG in my tutorial, I formatted it to fat32. It should work fine though on NTFS. Follow the instructions on the ophcrack website or pendrivelinux. If you have any more issues please create a screencast showing every single step you performed and every error message you received. It's kind of hard to help someone when I'm only hearing the issue, not seeing it.

  • @Factrocks yeah for sure, i will try it on fat32 and if not i'll make short vid and respond it to yours yeah?

  • @Factrocks okay so im pretty much confused... i formated the drive to ntfs..and used tazusb.. and selected slitaz 3.0 then when selecting the drive.. i select the coreect drive and it loads and i get ***error (1) has happened. the drive will not be bootable***... so i dont know... lol

  • @TravisNRG you should try without quick, it should do a full format, and if that doesn't work, just use the clean command and start again, if it still doesn't work, you should ask someone else!

    I hope this helped!

  • @TravisNRG you have to format it to fat32

  • @deathsvlogs i have a boner

  • @TravisNRG my boner is wacky

  • Lick dicks... :-)))

  • @jakubkrcma lets get drunk and touch out boner together

  • @JerriCop I thought it was funny too, or I would have edited it out :)

  • how come when i type list disk i only get my fucking hard drive?! =/

  • @ToonSxO This doesn't work with Windows XP

  • @Factrocks but it would boot on win xp?? meaning i create the usb boot on windows 7 to use it on windows xp?

  • the first time i tried i typed in "list dick" and i just lol'd because it was truely an accident!

  • i am just wondering, but what does having a bootable flash help with? or what is the point of it? just wondering. and great video btw! :)

  • @ivzzter A bootable flash drive is a great tool is order to install an operating system, boot a live image for diagnostics, and a lot more. For example, installing windows 7 is twice as fast with a thumb drive instead of a cd.

  • @Factrocks oh ok thanks :)

  • Great help, Thank you

  • @Baker3OrDieHard Happy to help!

  • it's been 24hr and diskpart still wont come up

  • @MrSparky2089 dont poop on trees

  • oh.....i was at xp...ty anyway...;))

  • I type list disk and i dosent show my USB drive....what shall i do??

  • @SkaraAco It doesn't work on xp, if you are on vista or 7, your doing something wrong

  • hey bro i did wat ever u said nw i want to put ophcrakcer in for this wat i have to do just copy paste or something else to use my usb in booting process

  • @sandhucooldude To install a linux distro, you need to install a linux bootloader. Check out pendrivelinux(dot)com I once had a tutorial that covered how to run a live usb of ophcrack, but the video got removed (I had copyrighted background music on it). If you want, I could make a new tutorial.

  • After this do you basicly just put on the IMG or ISO file you want? Im trying to install WIN XP for my older brother, his netbook crashed

  • gotta love haters

  • @x2LP4x yup, I actually got an IVP video removed from youtube because haters flagged my video because they didn't like me :(

  • what a dick all you did was format the flash drive, ya could have just right clicked the drive and clicked format, this does not make a flsh drive bootable ya just formated a drive without using a graphical interface, to make it bootable ya need a file son

  • @kickthedamcat incorrect, I did not just format the drive, I repartitioned the drive and created an active partition, that is what makes the drive bootable. The files are the contents of the os you will be loading off the drive.

  • @Factrocks Incorrect all you did was create a partition format it then gave it a drive letter, THIS DOES NOT MAKE IT BOOTABLE, but yes a drive needs to be partitioned before you can make it bootable, you still need a bootable image on the drive AND I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT WINDOWS INSTALLER OR FILES, Man you don't know shit about computers.

  • @kickthedamcat You don't understand. Bootable is referring to the ABILITY to boot an operating system of of the drive. That is done my making the partition active (learn some hardware theory). After performing this step, I can easily install a bootloader and copy over an operating system of my choice, such as winpe, linux, and others. Then I can boot of the drive. This step is a universal first step, if you want, you can check out my tutorials where I cover installing winpe and linux.

  • hah bet you don't know what an mbr is mofo

  • WOW! IS NOT KNOW THIS BEFORE! THIS IS SUCH LEET PWNAGE! douche.

  • @fr0sth4x0r ? This tutorial demonstrated what was intended to do (hence the title), it was also a prereq video on a later tutorial on how to create custom windows images, what is your point?

  • What exactly made it bootable, can't you just go into admin tools>management>disk management and made it active there

  • EASY 2 FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!

  • Say I then wanted to put an Arch Linux iso on here to boot from, how would I do that?

  • Thank you!!

  • @smoothhoopinal no problem

  • can you tell me why my command prompt is not even showing my flash drive even though it comes up on my computer all it shows when i type in list disk all it shows is the hard drive but not the flash drive

  • @chazki20 what os are you on, it doesn't work on xp

  • HUGE help and very consice...Thanks

  • @m1p3tty no problem

  • wow ur main hard drive is only 55GB? FAIL

  • @shapow54 It WAS only 55gb :D, soon later I upgraded it to 300gb :D.

  • @shapow54 with a boner

  • i laughed pretty hard when he typed "list dik" in cmd

  • @BJagHalo yeah I forgot to cut it out while editing lol

  • @runefreak777 lol

  • Will this work for a 156 mb flash drive?

  • @gameshowkid222 It will work on any drive (but there are very few operating systems u can run on that small of a drive)

  • @gameshowkid222 do you have a boner?

  • why doesnt it say anywhere in your description this is for vista?

  • @mordsgaudimachen I never thought I would get so many xp users watching my vid, ill add it thanks for the advice

  • @Factrocks Cool! I was just confused when I tried it first on XP. List disk didnt show my flashdrive... but once I tried vista... everything worked perfectly :) Thanks for showing me how to do that

  • your intro is the most garbage looking thing

  • @4illegalalien same annoying problem here! I m just after a 2+ hours research with not so good results. probably you are on win xp too. I figured out that in xp, if a drive is marked as "removable" storage, it won't let it make new partitions, so it won't appear in the disk list, only if you type "list volume".

I downloaded several tools which can flip the "type" bytes, so it would change the removable type to local disk, but I ve failed with all... I think there is no solution :((((

  • how do I change it back to (F:)?!

  • @zuxx00 the assign command has an optional parameter of changing the letter

  • My USB flash will not boot following your instructions. There are no files on the usb so how is it going to boot?

  • @4illegalalien This project requires windows vista or windows 7. It won't work on xp.

  • thanks for addressing my issues

    @Factrocks

  • how do u click enter?!

  • Note to people who don't see their USB drive listed in the 'disk list': If you're using Windows XP it will not list any removable drives on that list, that dosen't mean anything is wrong with your USB, XP just dosen't show them

  • i am tring to reinstall windows onto a netbook using usb multiboot 10.zip and it's not readying my usbdrive, my computer reads it, funny thing is i done the same thing a few months back, same flash drive and computer. but i think i was using winvista, now i'm using win7, the net book reads the drive, but doesn't book from it. i hope this helps. will update later.

  • The Select Disk Is Neccessary To The Partation Of Your Computer , And May Be Not Cleaned........wht can do now not select disk also... plz help me....sir/madam.........

  • when i type in list disk, it only shows my hard drive and it doesnt show me the usb drive that i plugged in. i need help please

  • this trick has helped me hundreds of tiimes

  • outstanding two thumbs up

  • Best how to video I've ever watched! nicely done

  • when did u make it bootable ?? when u made it active ?? that copied the needed files ?

  • does it search for any files that you can make yourself (like a custom os)

  • nevermind. i just saw you already have another video explaining about the linux.

  • i'm trying to install DSL on my flashdrive and have it bootable from startup. will this help. and if so will i still be able to save other random files for storage on my flash drive?

  • I have vista, And if I install 7.. and if the drive isnt in will vista run? But if the drive is in will 7 run? Im so confused about this..

  • is says that there is insufficient space

  • Nice easy tut .. Thanx.

  • @Wii2Mod is yur cock hard now?

  • @TravisNRG its like a rock

  • Would I be able to put ubuntu on this? and boot it inside an Acer Aspire One that way?

  • yes, but you will need a program called unetbootin to install the files and bootloader.

  • windows xp is good

  • no mac OS X Leopard is good

  • thank man you real help me out thanks again

  • @davidhp154 I'm having the same problem. I'am not interested in Vista or 7. XP works fine. I am trying "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" out now without any succes yet.

  • this is useful for installing windows on netbooks which have no cd drive

  • @Factrocks
