  • HOLY *******

  • Wow, it's been a while since a graphics engine impressed me. I'll be keeping my eye on this.

  • Nice job

  • 何时才能有一部游戏使用你的引擎来开发?

  • Congrats on the new job ;)

  • do you now the song?

  • Is this project dead? If not, when can we expect an update, even if it's just a couple of images :p

  • @ELS01X No. only because Im now busy with travelling to Frankfurt, it has to be delayed.

  • Are the lens flares done purely as a screen-space post process?

  • 0.10 - end - song name plz?

  • What song is played from 0:00 - 0:10, which isn't heart of courage?

  • @chatthekiller "Calamity". See the ending credit scroll.

  • Is there a demo for this? Seems pretty unlikely that you can do global illumination on a dual core 9600GT.

  • I would love to try this on my 5870. Are there any plans for a public techdemo?

  • @FPRobber I feel sorry to tell you currently it only runs on NV's hardwares. some of the post processing routines are broken on AMD's GPU. I'm contacting their driver team for those issues..

  • i can make tracks for a game ;D

  • Does this include an integrated physics engine, or can one be paired with it?

Also, is it open or closed source?

  • best made in China product ever, 100% original, congratz Dex

  • Very cool HDR and DOF

  • The phrase here is "That just about blew my socks off".

  • Is this a graphics based engine or a full blown physics/game engine?

  • I want to be a game designer in the future and this engine looks pretty amazing, who knows we will use it :P

  • cool ME2 music)

  • cool ME2 music)

  • music from Mass Effect2)

  • Thats pretty amazing, the graphics itself isn't really anything we haven't seen before (although the graphics are still amazing), just the fact that its so efficient on your rig is what amazes me. and considering the graphics card your using, this isn't even DX11 right? Dear God this could be a monstrosity in DX11. (a good monstrosity)

BTW 1:55 thats realtime subsurface scattering right?

  • @CandGPxexpert yes. Just to mention that to achieve scattering quality like that is very costy (bound by batch count and sampling rate). in real games, for example, you may want to tune down the quality for speed.

  • This looks like it would put plenty of games out of business if implimented in the right game. You should look for someone willing to buy the rights to use it.

  • what is the name of the song.

I know it is from: 2 steps from hell.

  • @yohoho170 heart of courage

  • @dfpcmaia

    thanks.

  • freaking amazing you should be getting hired sometime soon

  • do you have a testable demo?

and do you include normal Gameengine support,

    like bone animation editor etc.

    your engine looks great?

will you release a demo? (maybe these scene without an editor???)

it would silence all critics, and be a great testcase.

    Regards Freek Hoekstra

    ps your bloom looks great

I suppose you have some sort of lens shader that shapes your bloom??

also there seems to be some inconsistancy in your GI, seems not to be present at 1:25 as you do have it in the scene before

  • Incredible. Is this purely a graphics engine or is there anything else programmed in (eg physics - like when that column fell and crumbled)? I think you should create a scene that showcases all the aspects of your engine, then increase the polygon count to stress it down to about 30 fps. Youtube can't do 80fps.

  • impressive

  • really impressive

  • You made a efficient engine!

it ko a number of engines already

  • taking in consideration that making an entirely new engine is very time consuming and very hard to optimize... how long did it take for you to do this?

  • OOH SHINY!

  • Can't tell what I'm seeing at the 2:16 mark, but it sure looks cool.

I'm assuming this is for game use, but I would love to see an animation program with an engine this nice. Just something that would let me import scenes from other programs and render them at this quality. I still can't believe that in 2010 only a handful of the higher end 3D programs (and none of the entry level ones - RIP trueSpace) have GPU enabled viewports.

  • Would it be possible to see some run time demos? As in interacting with input in real time.

All we have to go on that it is not pre-rendered is your word.

  • meh

  • Looks amazing, great work

  • found via Polycount - Remarkable work.

though it does beg the question... what're you going to do with it once complete? is it just an experiment in creating an engine, or do you have even grander ambitions?

either way, as a mere polygon-pushing chimp, its impressive work to me.

  • How did you compare this to the CryEngine 3 if it's not released?

  • is this gonna be released to the public for free or for paid only? If paid can you do what the UDK did, I would love this engine, it has beautiful rendering pipelines.

  • Guys Listen Up! Guys Listen Up! Guys Listen Up! Guys Listen Up! Guys Listen Up!

    THIS IS PRE-RENDERED!

  • Blocky models

  • Can't wait to see this placed into a game with real storyline, an awesome engine to use this graphics engine and hopefully it runs well with a 9400M

  • I need the name of the music.

  • Comment removed

  • @Lulzertank It's the music from the Mass Effect 2 Launch Trailer.

  • Simply fantastic. Some great work here.

Would be it be possible to have a little insight to how some of your effects were achieved? If not it's totally cool.

    - Xzero (MA)

  • Looks really bad, m8.

  • Oh god, this is beautiful.

  • I don't care about pretty graphics. I care about the AI and the physics. THAT is the important part of making a game. Good graphics should just be a bonus.

  • Looks great. On the other hand, 1:53 what the hell did you do with the song man?

  • this is realtime? holy shit.

  • Song name?

  • HOLY. FUCK.

  • Anyone who thinks this is real, even for a moment, has a mental deficiency.

This is just an ugly, pre-rendered video. It's not real, and you're all being played for chumps.

  • @OneQuarterLife

you're the idiot here. you clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

It obviously realtime. The thing is it isnt reallt 'THAT' impressive.

Show me how it handles scenes where multiple effects are used at the same time.

Show me a scene with aa+ GI + SSS + Softshadows + physics + a lot of gameplay elements going on (rigged animation, ai).

  • You sir, have made something amazing. But now we have to wait and see how well this will do with other typical game mechanisms, such as physics or AI.

  • what is the song called?

  • This was all done in 3dsmax rendered in Vray or some other high quality render. Shits not real time. This is a fake video, sorry.

  • @razzums if you look closely... u can see small artifacts on the SSAO.... that proves its realtime

  • @razzums hahaha lol you people never stops amazing me

  • Beautiful engine, I subscribe to you. Is it done by you?

  • Will this cost money when its done?

  • I'm impressed, your engine looks really good!

  • What specs did you run this on?

  • @htfkid E6320 + 9600GT . at least 80fps

  • @DeXtmL Holy shit

  • Just great!!! But I can't see comparison with CE3 on the bottom, although it says on the beginning... I would love to see this implemented with some engine with physics

  • @nothke since majority parts of CE3 is identical to CE2, i only do comparison with CE3 on the global illumination chart 1:23

  • @DeXtmL

You can't say that until crysis 2 is out, CE3 is still a wip AFAIK.

  • @RazgrisFloob CE3 is already done and has available licenses. Crysis 2 however, is not.

  • Woah, just woah.

I've seen quite a few impressive videos, but nothing compared to your work. Proper good job mate !

  • Just awesome...

But, seems to be an modified CE2...isnt it?

  • @soXXeth no. It's independent of CE2. i built it from ground zero.

  • @DeXtmL

    Wow, well done!

    How to get this engine?

  • Could you please release more videos, i love it!

  • Beautiful job, are you planning on releasing it in future?

  • looks good

  • 充满期待

  • Who do we get in contact with if we wish to use this engine?

  • @pixel3studios It's not released yet. And im not quite looking for commercialize for now.

  • Where would be possible to have a look at the AVI codec mentioned in the credits roll? TIA.

  • looks cool

  • cb观光团

  • anyway,this engine is awesome.

  • DeXtmL,you're mass effect fan right?

  • @mtctonyhkhk2010 lol, absolutely right

  • This is visually impressive, but what are you development tools like? People don't just buy engines for render features. If you want to actually sell the engine make sure your dev tools are top notch.

  • @FlyingD It's similar with CryEngine2 Sandbox. However, i have to say it's simpler and contains less features. As a personal project, coding that fully fledged GUI would take me lots of time, beyond my technologies' "shelf life".

It can be better if i can find some investment or partners.
