The blood was intentionally "off-color". You obviously don't know Tim Burton's work or you would know that something like the blood color would not be an oversight. There's also a reason that European films are rarely as big as American films... because you think actors like Johnny Depp are "rubbish". You would be hard pressed to find a more talented or versatile actor.

no, you see...the reason the blood looked all red and bright and fake is because there's an artery in the throat that you cut across when you slit someone's throat. blood from arteries are supposed to be that red. and spurt that much. promise.

The blood was supposed to look rediculous because it was originally an opear, played onstage, where they used simpler props. I can understand why that would dissapoint if you didn't know beforehand, though.

Actually, I think the term British accents is appropriate. Don't shoot me! I just think that if the term American accent exists, then so should the term British accent. My reasoning is that both are just large categories with subsets underneath. British accents include English, Northern Irish, Scottish, and Welsh (with regional accents underneath each of those). American accents include Southern (more underneath this one), Bostonian, New Yorker (more underneath this one, too), Valley Girl, etc.

I've nothing against Yanks. It's simply that these two want people to believe that they are Brits when it is clear to any of us who were born and lived our entire lives here that they are not. I think that they may live in the UK now, as I see things in their videos which are common in the UK but which are very uncommon in the States, but I also see things that are clearly from the states, and more importantly, their fake accents give them away.They are good(better than most) but slip sometimes.

Well, the craziest thing I´ve ever done..humm... Cursing my dog, going out pointing my wand at strange muggles on the street, bringing my Gryffindor scarf to school (it´s a lot more laughable than it sounds!!!). I also handwrote a 20-page essay of what I expect of "The Deathly Hallows" the night before it was released. Oh, goodness! How could you possibly not like Sweeney Todd? I'm a bit obsessed with it. I thought Helena, Johnny, Sacha, and Alan all did an amazing job.
Really, though, the killing wasn't to make the movie gory, they did it simply to form a naked emotion. I think a lot of people went into the theater expecting something like Saw and were disappointed because the movie wasn't solely, if not very minutely, about the murders.

It also annoys me how a lot of people from other countries think that everyone in england talks like the queen lol, when actually there are lots of different accents. Theres like a stereotype for english people that says we all talk and act posh, it's soo wrong!

Actually, I think the term British accents is appropriate. Don't shoot me! I just think that if the term American accent exists, then so should the term British accent. My reasoning is that both are just large categories with subsets underneath. British accents include English, Northern Irish, Scottish, and Welsh (with regional accents underneath each of those). American accents include Southern (more underneath this one), Bostonian, New Yorker (more underneath this one, too), Valley Girl, etc.

Oh - you do have a point there m' darling. And my parents did actually nearly get thrown out of a taxi in belgium one time because the way they pronounced a place wasn't the right way for that part of the country.
And I geuss because the term British accent annoys me I can see how American accent would bother an American.

I've nothing against Yanks. It's simply that these two want people to believe that they are Brits when it is clear to any of us who were born and lived our entire lives here that they are not. I think that they may live in the UK now, as I see things in their videos which are common in the UK but which are very uncommon in the States, but I also see things that are clearly from the states, and more importantly, their fake accents give them away.They are good(better than most) but slip sometimes.

you may be 2 beautifuls chicks, but sorry sweeney todd is not a horror film concentrating on how gore and realistic the macabre scenes should be. Anway the scenario is exellent !

Well, the craziest thing I´ve ever done..humm... Cursing my dog, going out pointing my wand at strange muggles on the street, bringing my Gryffindor scarf to school (it´s a lot more laughable than it sounds!!!). I also handwrote a 20-page essay of what I expect of "The Deathly Hallows" the night before it was released. I have a Harry Potter kinda altar in my room and sometimes I light some incense and think all the story over... It´s my world! Greetings from Harry Potter´s greates fan in Mexico!

Oh, goodness! How could you possibly not like Sweeney Todd? I'm a bit obsessed with it. I thought Helena, Johnny, Sacha, and Alan all did an amazing job.
Really, though, the killing wasn't to make the movie gory, they did it simply to form a naked emotion. I think a lot of people went into the theater expecting something like Saw and were disappointed because the movie wasn't solely, if not very minutely, about the murders.
