Yes it was. The footage was approximately 2 months apart at the time. It has now been over 12 months and his vocabulary has increased dramatically. When he does speak he speaks very clearly.

From a Developmental perspective co-regulated engagement would be the goal, where, e.g., the therapist would not serve as reward provider for good compliance, but instead would help build, take turns, playfully hesitating not knowing where to go, etc. thus encouraging Nathan to combine motor-planning, thinking, reflecting and verbalizing in spontaneous and non-scripted manner where the "reward" is not extraneous (i.e. bubbles, etc) but in the pleasurable back and forth interactions themselves.
I'm really pleased to see ABA working for other kids. I work on as a therapist on two ABA programs and the progress I've seen so far is amazing, Nathan is a bit further along in the program than the kids I work with and it's great to see a child at his stage!

that drill is called block imitation.. she must give prompts only on the third trial not on the second. that is the discreet trial
