Glad i created controversy over this... even 2 years after I posted that comment... yes i know how hard it is to be an actor/actress... I've done it before... the memorizing of the lines... the singing... the long dawn-out rehearsals... pain in the butt but worth it at the end.... and for all that told me to "shut the fuck up" i did say nice things... i just expanded on the negatives... get used to it... its what critics do and what the real world is like... Have a nice life... btw nice job guy.

i for one think you did a fantastic job. i don't understand y this guy thinks you should be the exact replica of topol. thats not what you do with the part, or any part. u make it your own, and this is what you did, and very well. i am playin tevye is july of this year, and i'm tryin 2 make it not like topol, i dont want people to see topol on stage, but i want them 2 see me. well done anyway

I'm sorry, but I must say something. Cshoes, have you ever played Tevye in a show? I am currently playing the role, without a week to go before we open. And honestly, it is one of the hardest roles in broadway for a male. So before you criticize, realize that its up to the actor to do whatever they want to bring out the character.

3rd of all he couldnt the stomping and shaking his arms right either he was waving them like a child..ur supposed to keep ur hands in 1 place... and just shake ur arms..and he couldnt keep a beat he was off like 1 beat...but his accent was great!

1st of all, if you read the score, it does say: "idle didle deedle didle dum" or something similar, "dibby dibby dubby dibby dum" is just the film version.

2nd of all, the guy who originated tevye on broadway is none other than zero mostel, who would usually play for laughs, whearas topol's interpretation is more toned down, so there you go!

He's one of the best renditions of Tevye I have ever seen! *and I've seen alot of Fiddler on the roof* I agree with chengloki,he deserves to be on Broadway! This is by far the best High school plays ever,and many high school plays are *ugh* 5 stars and 5 Stars for the guy playing Tevye!

Ha I liked your little irish slips during the opening monologue! 'Not really complaining' and 'but it's no great honor either' were REALLY Irish. It was good, but seemed a little forced physically. But don't let that get you down. You did well, and its such a hard character!

Yah... bad arms...I was tevye a little while ago. But you got a great voice pretty good accent but you lost it a couple of times. and the "choreographed stuff" seemed forced and like you were telling yourself what to do. Other than that I commend you for a great performance of a VERY difficult character. GREAT job!

however some things were a little too much, i mean he was over the top as it is, and that was good, but some things were too much here. and i bet i could give you a run for your money on the arm motions. i thought you werent even gonna do it and i was disappointed until i saw the end.

not bad up until about 3:08, then you/he were/was off-key from then on pretty much. you did however have a better than accent than I had (having played Tevye myself), but our school didn't really work on the accents. you were also truer to the movie. i'll give you that.

Some things i thought were over done around and after 3:30 but don't worry it was so fun to watch it didn't matter! Excelent singing ability, though if I'd have to critique it if you were doing it for an audition song, I'd say keep to the musicality of the piece, you were doing fine up until you started changing rests and notes at certain places. I did that for South Pacific and ended up regreting the improv later >.<
