We have 6 frontosa now in a 65 gal tank (see other videos) and there is plenty of space since these are schooled fish. It depends on the size of the fish.
They enjoy the rocks and they don't hurt themselves. I would think they could be bored if they didn't have the rocks to move. I would hate to take them away.
I love my frontosa also I have a total of 10 now, we just love to watch them. Nice tank!

They run anywhere between $15 and $40, it depends on where you go. I get mine at a local aquatic store.

you know it is safer for the fish to have sand because rocks/gravel can cut them and they dig like CRAZY.nice vid tho
