Secondly, I don't see you refraining from eating hamburgers, chickens, etc. Do you think a cow would give his consent to being made into summer sausage? Animals are property, if you don't want to fight or race your dogs, don't. Others might not have those qualms you do. Think about it next time your stuff your face with a big mac.

@oldschoolgreentube It will always be the human's fault. Kids need to be supervised around any dog because they can unintentionally get in the dogs' face & make any dog uncomfortable. It is up to the owner to address any aggression issues with a professional right away. Any dog can bite and they do. Puppies need to be exposed to many situations and people and be trained properly and use a muzzle if in doubt and do not let your dog run loose. Punish dog fighters & reckless dog owners.

just to put an extra spin of reality into this... the reason there is legislation against these dogs is to protect them from this. The reason a lot of these dogs are like this is because they were 'fighting' dogs. The only way to keep the abuse from continuing is to take the pitbulls out of the hands of irresponsible humans. So they had to outlaw them.

l believe responsible pit bull owners should be able to undergo a test to demonstrate they are able to keep such a dog and ban all others!

@Swingarwolf1 The laws shouldn't change, because it should be illegal for your average joe who wants an impressive or aggressive dog to own one... simple! These dogs should not be subjected to this. And I actually care about these dogs and rather see them outlawed than abused! A clause should be included, that responsible owners should be able to prove they can own one. It shouldnt apply to all breeds, because not all breeds are used for fighting. Its common sense.

@Swingarwolf1 but you dont get it... a chihuahua might bite... but its not going to kill someone. Any dog can bite, but not every dog has been RECENTLY bred to KILL. A pitbull is like a weapon, it CAN kill. Just like a gun in the wrong hands. Just like a gun in the right hands, they can also be fantastic. I used to work with them, I love pitbulls. Your feelings as to wanting to own one are irrelevant on the scale of things. These dogs need protection, not to be more available to anyone.

That broke my heart. I don't understand how people can do this. People hate what they fear and they do fear pit bulls including me. I don't know (except in my sons case) maybe the only pit bulls that attack people are those that are taught to be aggressive. If a pit has to be put down because it can't be trusted well then maybe the owner needs to be put down too. The devastation on these dogs and people need to stop. maybe your video is where the change starts not mine.

@shydime1 the problem is, the dogs dont just attack when they are trained to attack. They are a naturally dog aggressive breed and need extensive socialisation. But people in general are lazy and dont socialise them. When the dog escapes from the yard one day and gets into a dog fight and the owner of the other dog tries to intervene, severe injuries can result. They are a dangerous animal when not kept properly.Neither side of the arguement can be blind to the facts.
