from Ephesians 5:28: “Husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.” A man who does this surely is not going to treat his wife as if she were an inferior person. . A man does not hit himself when he fails to do as well as he might like. Very much to the contrary, if anyone should treat her harshly he would loyally come to her aid. He loves her as he does his own body.
These men do an injustice to themselves aswell as their wives. Having a equal loving and respectful relationship is alot more fulfilling than what they are participating in.
This thing of men beating their wives infront of their kids...eti its part of my tradition?,,,,my dad did it and its one of the reasons i don't speak to him...he keeps asking why i don't call him...i thought by now he should know why i don't call him?...if you can't respect your wife, respect your kids...they didn't ask to be born....
Women need to report these men to the police and have them charged for assault. Give these women guns. After they kill a few of these men, the beating will stop.
As a policy, NTV should not approve of this type of unrepresentative reporting. The generalizations in the report are likely to create a lot of negative stereotypes about the Ameru.
Lack of knowledge. The whole concept of family and relationship has been completely distorted. No love, no trust, no sacrifice, no commitment. This is abuse! Its criminal!
Amazing, how the reporter casually and jokingly spells out the two options the woman has and does not condemn this as the vile, barbaric and archaic practice it is! African tradition they say? A 1000 more years to civility!
I never like to look down on someones traditions but this one is sad to me.
