  • Mordin is Frankenstein combined with Watson. He is crazy as hell, but awesome and owns people.

  • "Right choice. Still... hard to sleep some nights."

Entirely pragmatic, but not entirely detached and never needlessly cruel, even when doing horrible things. Great character.

  • Mordin...I don't always agree with your actions but I can't argue with your thought process. He is the poster boy scientific process has been craving. Wish more of my colleagues knew about him.

  • had to be me, someone else might have gotten it wrong. :'(

  • There was no pause. He kept talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one had the chance to interrupt him, it was really quite hypnotic.

  • @miko131293 i totaly read that in mordins voice.

  • Now I get what Kirahhe ment by holding the line.

  • The first minutes reminds me of Blade Runner.

  • The theme reminds me of a 70's space theme

  • My favorite character in ME2. He had complexity and was very deep, a scientist responsible for something incredible terrible- a modified fertility plague that keeps an entire species oppressed- but who still has a human(yes I know) side nontheless and regrets what he had to do. A trully unique character.

  • The beginning has a nice ME1 feel to it.

  • @tarmilaweck Hey you're right. Got to admit, ME1 had a more unique soundtrack.

  • "Pointless... Pointless waist of life..."

  • 1 disliker was an extortionist that was doped and shot by Mordin in his clinic and used to set an example to all future extortionists that would come back. I won't be specific as to where else he was shot...

  • "Could be opportunity to get close. Need guns. Wait, no! Have guns! Excellent."

  • Flammable! Or inflammable! Forget which, doesn't matter!

  • @Craziness714 Same thing, either way.

  • I swear I've heard 3:20 somewhere else before, I believe in Ratchet & Clank TOD

  • Harbinger: ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL!

Mordin: I am the very model of a scientist salarian...

  • Watched Blade Runner for the first time and the theme immediately brought me back to this.

  • У солдата выходной - пуговицы вряд

    Ярче солнечного дня золотом горят...

  • Tell them about my tenacity !

  • This shit gets really epic at 3:25

  • at several points during ME2, I was reminded of Blade Runner, in Omega particularly.

  • "Chance to recruit Archangel! Need Guns, no wait, have guns! EXCELLENT!"

  • Flammable, or inflammable? Forget which, doesn't matter!

  • @ForzeDeMale Indeed!

  • Not Difficult

  • In ME3, I want Mordin to be like Q in the James Bond series.

  • @Terry2982 He's anounced to be a ally in mass effect 3

  • Mordin kinda talks a bit like yoda.

  • I love how much this sounds like Vangelis' Blade Runner score.

  • @Avalolz This is why i like this song so much. :'D

  • Deploying flammables......or inflammables, doesn't matter!

  • For me, the krogan homeworld, seeing the dead female krogan. *sniff* Horrible.

  • I always conjure up images of Omega's grimy streets in this song.

  • Of all the character themes in mass effect, this is the only one i truly remembered.

  • Not Difficult!

  • @Graywolfpictures10 Guess you failed to see how I was drawing a similarity between gaining the loyalty of all the aliens in mass effect and all the races in dragon age... and how you would then command them all in a all out battle against the reapers (darkspawn and archdemon)... Get it now? -.- moron...

  • This song really sums up Mordin, I mean i guess in the big scheme of things he's a good guy, but there's the galactc impact that is the genophage hanging over his head as well as all the other choices he's had to make. He's a pretty conflicted character and this song pretty much captures that.

I just remember during his loyalty mission him talking to me with this song playing and saying all these huge memorable lines. That's when it hit me, Mass effect is in its own league.

  • @FaUsT491

i dont think he is conflicted at all as a character, though he may show some remorse for the impact of his actions (such as genophage on krogan) this is overridden by the fact he always believes the ends justify the means as the outcome is the best one for all races in the galaxy. great song though i agree

  • The whole score is awesome, but this song in particular is spectacular!

  • @Th3ForgottenOne This kinda reminds me of the eerie scenes from the Alien movies when they were walking through the hallways and corridors.

  • 1 person doesnt like penis headed aliens

  • NOT DIFFICULT!!!! :D

  • I chose to save the Rachni queen, and take all the chances I could do help the humans win the reaper fight.

  • @CoinDl They better be on my crew as squad members or I'm going to go bonkers! Yes I just said bonkers.

  • Maelon couldnt live with himself after hearing this ost and disliked it.

  • I think in ME3 there should be a bit were you control the normandy in a space battle.

  • Mordin is the most badass Salarian ever!

I mean he is a doctor

former part of the Task group...

and he is a great singer!

  • @screamineagle12 Actually, Samara/Morinth, Legion and Thane all have a higher "beef" score than Garrus. And as long as atleast Grunt or Zaeed are holding the line, noone should die there.

  • "Look at the dead girl Mordin..."

  • something about this song reminds me of warcraft 2 music

  • NOT, DIFFICULT!!

  • Comment removed

  • Flammable, or inflammable? Forget which, doesn't matter.

  • Mordin: "You thought I was harmless, did you?!?"

  • just beat Mass Effect 2 on insanity. only one i lost was Mordin.... fuck.

  • @ThatOneGuy1411 Where'd you used him for? because a good way to stop him from dying is making him escort the crew back, he has the best survival chance with that.

  • @deeth5 i really dont know. right after i destroyed the human reaper (on insanity. hard as shit) we were running back to the normandy, and then the camera zooms in on mordin's corpse. i guess he died because i didnt take him with me to fight the reaper

  • @deeth5 i really dont know, i just killed the human reaper and we were going back to the normandy. all of the sudden the camera zooms in on Mordin's corpse. i guess he died because i didnt take him with me to fight the reaper

  • @ThatOneGuy1411 You NEVER leave mordin to hold the line, either let him escort the Crew or bring him with you

  • @ThatOneGuy1411

lucky you... i lost jack Y.Y

  • everybody survived on my watch *puts on sunglasses and looks cool*

  • mordin died with me :(

  • Mordin, Tali and Kasumi were my favourite characters :)

  • I am the very model of a scientist SAL-AIR-EEE-AHHHHHHHHHN.

  • warned him not to go too dangerous patients here need him snuck out anyway

    :') talks like mega fast!!

    i Love it!!

  • Mordin and Grunt were my favorite characters. :D

  • @MrSERGEANT10

    Zaeed's a crazy old prick.

Jacob's a bit too cliche to my liking.

  • Healer...or Killer...Mordin is both of them!!!

  • the music reminds me of blade runner

  • @JordoF6 haha same here

  • Shepard: "I'm a Spectre. Start talking."

Elias Kelham: "Well I didn't vote for you."

Shepard: "You don't vote for Spectres! The Council decreed it!"

Elias Kelham: "If I went around calling myself above the law, because some holographic aliens told me I was a ghost, they'd put me away!"

    FLASHY RED STAR

    RIGHT TRIGGER

    *smack*

Elias Kelham: "Now we see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!"

  • @Spaced20 BEST. COMMENT. EVER!

  • @Spaced20 i love you

  • @Spaced20 Monty Python reference to Mass Effect? I didn't think it possible. I tip my hat to you sir!

  • @Spaced20 You sir, are a fucking god for that.

  • @Spaced20 I actually laughed when I read that. Nice one.

  • Это мой любимый саундтрек в ME2

  • Comment removed

  • Nice music for killing Vorcha's!

  • @RTSfreak110 and varren :)

  • Vision of ME3

All squad members return, both ME and ME2. The Alliance secretly developed more Normandy ships (Maybe 5 or so, any more and it wouldnt be a fair fight for the reapers). Once you choose a new Normandy or stay with the SR2, you go on a quest to gain the loyalty of the other fleets, for example help the quarians take back the homeworld and they will fight for you. Then it all turns into one big Galactic Alliance Vs. Reaper Fleet brawl!

    Epic :)

  • @CliffDiverBOA uh the reapers would smoke the Normandy the collector ship killed one no problem the reapers are 10x stronger than the collectors

  • @legion160 I didn't see Sovreign put up much of a fight.

  • @CliffDiverBOA Yeah, he just flies through the turian ships...and he only died because his gambit with Saren didn't pay off in the end, and he had to take over Saren's body. With the feedback from his death, Sovereigns shields didn't hold up much longer, and he became vulnerable. If he hadn't to take over Saren, his shield would've stood much longer, and instead of just 8 Alliance ships, there would've been far more losses on the human side.

  • @Rykanable Hmmm, that changes some of my view. Still the Normandy SR2 has anti-reaper technologies built into it so it may be able to even up the fight against the reapers. Maybe it takes down their shields or something. I CAN'T LIVE WITH A SAD ENDING I NEED TO LIVE!!!!!!

  • @CliffDiverBOA true. i had a similar idea about what to expect from ME3. Solving some major galactic issues like the war between the Quarians and geth. And curing the genofage.

And it would all lead to the epic conclusion: the united forces of the galactic community facing the last reapers when they pour out of the mass relays around the Citadel! With the Normandy leading the charge!

  • @CliffDiverBOA ME3 will probably also pull a Fable 3 and have you upgrade not only the other ships but earths defenses as well. Prepare for more probing lol.

  • @Emcmillin09 Uuuuuuuuggggghhhh... Probe Away... -_-

  • @CliffDiverBOA The Krogans will unite depending on your decisions on Virmire and Tuchanka. The Geth will join the fight against, or will fight for, the Reapers depending on your decision made on the Heretic station. The Rachni will make a return in ME3 (given that you saved them). Depending on your last major decision in ME2, the Illusive Man might get indoctrinated giving the Reapers access to valuable data or he might have his own private army (Dunno about that one)...

    EPIC!!!!! :D

  • @CliffDiverBOA sure, your homeworld is under attack, so to save it you go rescuing the quarian homeworld

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois If it gains the loyalty of the Migrant Fleet, which is the largest fleet in the Galaxy, so they can help save your homeworld and also possibly gain the loyalty of the Geth, who have the most advanced technololgy in the Galaxy, then yes... I would save the Quarian homeworld.

  • @CliffDiverBOA so you go and help the quarians erradicate the geth from the quarian homeworld, gain their loyalty, and then you gain the loyalty of the geth? and... then you go save earth... if there is time

  • @WhoIamisIamwhois Never said you erradicate the Geth. The Geth and the Quarians make peace, which in Mass Effect time takes about five minutes, go get some more fleets (no need to worry about a time limit because last time I checked there would be no time limit in Mass Effect 3), Punch the reapers in their synthetic faces, save the galaxy. Done.

  • @CliffDiverBOA

    Gathering fleets= great idea

Taking the biggest fleet in the galaxy in the opposite direction of the enemy and pitting it against the second biggest fleet (the Geth) far away from Earth= handing over Earth on a silver platter, possibly with some tastful decoration.

  • @BackhandTrebond No actually what I think will happen is that the Geth will just hand over the homeworld to the Quarians (remember Legion's loyalty mission, you can make all the Geth turn to our will). Then the Geth and the Quarians will join us in the final fight and then if the Quarians are still alive (I hope they are!) they can go back to the homeworld and the Geth can go somewhere else, or coexist on the homeworld.

  • @CliffDiverBOA

Not a bad idea, and definitely one to hope for. The allies you should get (I believe) are: The Citadel fleets, for saving the council; the cured Krogan unified under Wrex; the Quarians and Geth; the Rachni; the Alliance (obviously); and maybe some from the Terminus under Aria. I can hope!

P.S. In Legion's loyalty mission, you can stop the heretics from worshipping the Reapers, but you can't take control of them. They just return to the main Geth faction.

  • @CliffDiverBOA *cough* GREYWARDEN *cough* *cough*

  • @CliffDiverBOA No. You did the "Loyalty missions" for the fleets in ME and ME2 if you didn't notice (Chaging the quarians mind, releasing the Rachni, stoping the genophage, turning Heretics into Geth). I think there is a "Reaper splinter group" or some artifact hidden in a system that's not linked by a Mass Relay that can stop the Reapers. That's a possibility since the Reapers created the Mass Relays, they wouldn't make one that would link to their destruction.

  • Entire mission with Mordin had some weird mysterious feeling about it. I can see images Tuchanka destroyed by long forgotten war and Mordin trying to rationalize making and modifying it. Its like the Collector Base OST in a way. It gives me the creeps in the beginning but its more intense later on. Its one of my favorite Mass Effect OSTracks. :)

  • Party Members Bioware should keep:

    Garrus

    Mordin

    Tali

    Miranda

    Legion

    Grunt

    Kasumi

    Thane

  • @Evilguy951

    No.

Garrus, Tali, Legion, Thane, Mordin (though he mostl ikely will go back to Omega).

Grunt goes back to Tuchanka, Kasumi disappears, FUCK Miranda.

  • @UshiromiyaReiji

UNLESS she's just Shepard's slut. Lulz.

Legion and Tali are so fucking awesome. So is Thane. And Garrus. And Mordin.

  • @AnarchyBefallUs

    I agree with you completely.

    I still hate Miranda, though.

  • @UshiromiyaReiji

She's just such a biotch the whole goddamn time.

    Stupid clone whore!

  • @AnarchyBefallUs

    Yep.

Annoying, bitchy, stuck-up, bland, uninteresting, boring and narcissistic whore.

  • @UshiromiyaReiji

While i can't disagree with you, I must say that The Convict was the most annoying character by far for me. I have never had her in my party, unless absolutely necessary.

  • @ZerooOne01

    Same for me, actually.

I never liked Jack and I used her literally only twice in 14 playthroughs.

Once on Horizon and once on the Derelict Reaper.

    Only because of her Shockwave.

I dislike her a lot as well and I find her boring.

  • @Evilguy951 Damn, just keep all of them and add more. Shepard will probally get another new, bigger ship anyway.

  • @GIRLIKESTACOS

While on that topic, Liara is rumored to come back, and maybe Kaidan/Ashley.

I'm also hearing that Legion is a romance option, as well Mordin and Joker. Just rumors, but interesting ones.

  • @Evilguy951 I would get with Mordin.

  • Mordin is the funniest character in the entire series. Most interesting too.

    ;)

  • Doubt Mordin will be dead by ME3, it'll probably pick up where ME2 left off, the Reaper invasion and for the love of god let the Damn Council help out in ME3 I hate them constantly accusing Shepard of being a Traitor or Liar. Otherwise I'll go kill them all and form a Dynasty of Shepards :P

  • @TehHotRoD yes but i have the strangest urge that shepard will work with someone else. in ME1 u helped the council but fought cerberus. in ME2 u helped cerberus, ignored the council, and fought Blue Suns and Eclipse. something tells me that in ME3..... shepard will help blue suns OR eclipse and ignore the council and cerberus....

  • I listened to this while reading through an AP Biology book. It made it so much more interesting.

  • Mordin is just... so utterly hilarious. Yet at the same time, he's got a very interesting character, personality, and background. Bioware did a brilliant job with him, he's my favourite character.

  • @AirWaterLandBuffalo Mordin is my favorite character in ME2. His fast talking and friendliness and not to mention his great singing voice are wonderful. HE MUST BE IN ME3. Either that or put in a new salarian that is at least half as awesome as he is.

  • Love it!!!!!!!!!

    FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A Krogan must have clicked the Dislike button.

  • Hmm, theme song adaquate. Very appropriate for useing *sharp inhale*, farm equipment.

  • @postapocalyptia because salarian death is due to their ridiculous metabolic rates,

i guess there just is no cure for that

  • BioWare...YOU ARE THE BEEEST!!!

  • Mordin! I always had a hard time keeping up with your dialogue but your the funniest alien on the crew, hell even funnier than the humans. Keep Mordin for Mass Effect 3, I deman it!

  • 2:40 through 3:24 is my favorite background music! You hear it a few times, but I always remember it being on the way to the hospital on Tuchanka for Mordin's loyalty misson.

  • I AM THE VERY MODEL OF A SCIENTIST SALERIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

    Sheperd: Goodbye

  • @finalsora120 i usually just wait a few seconds to take it all in, after he sings before i say goodbye. shepard is just standing there like o_O

  • Easily the most memorable track in the ME2 OST.

  • @Santana105 I Definetely agree sounds slightly different here though the synthesizer keys sound different, could also b because I'm not blasting someone with a smg though too.

  • @redplague AYE! He's funny! Have you heard him sing "The Scientist Salarian"!?

  • Easily the best character in all of Mass Effect.

  • Opinions on genophage?

  • That isn’t his theme... this is,

"I am the very model of a scientist salarian,

I’ve studied species turian asari and boterian,

I’m quite good at genetics as a sub set of biology because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology),

My xinoscience studies range from urban to agrarian; I am the very model of a scientist salarian"

  • @top1terra1girl *xenoscience

  • @postapocalyptia Salarian bodies might be alot more complex then humans? Maybe they already have extended their lives. Who knows.

  • Conversations with Mordin blew my mind. ;]

  • Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, David Kates, and Jimmy Hinson are GODS AMONG MEN!

  • EPIC TUNE IS FUCKING EPIC!!!

  • Im Commander Shepard and this is my favorite salarian on youtube.

  • @postapocalyptia

Maybe they already have increased their livespan as much as they can.

  • @postapocalyptia

Maybe Salarians used to live even shorter lives.

  • I love how companions in ME2 comment on whatever ability they are using. And Mordin's ''Flammable. Or Inflammable ? Forget which. Doesn't matter. '' is the best one.

  • Secret organisation? Hmm. Not mercs, too well equipped. Not civilians either. Weapons! Not standard Alliance grade. Privately owned, expensive. Only one human organisation with funds that large. Cerberus! (close up on eyes) Very Surprising.

  • One of my wishlist on ME3 is to keep the singing scientist salarian and sex strategist . . . . and that's him.

  • I killed the Reaper with mordin, only because everyone I cared about died. But when I fought the reaper with mordin, I knew he was a bro and I regret never bringing him a long with me on each mission. Next time mordin.. next time.

  • Is it me or is Mordin's music actually the most ALIEN-y of most of the ME2 soundtracks? Fits him well actually. :)

  • Flamable or inflamable ? Doesnt matter which!

  • Listening to this song makes me imagine some creepy voice saying, "The doctor is in..."

  • My Mordin died at the end. I became misty eyed. :'(

  • hate to be a party pooper, but Mordin, as well as every other squad member in ME2 will not have major roles in ME3 because of their potential deaths. they will be relegated to npc status like wrex or ashley with roles interchangeable with other characters if they did infact die in the previous game. sad but true. unless bioware wants to make a bunch of content that not everyone will actually see. i guess its possible, but unlikely.

  • @Defendire Where are your sources?

  • @Defendire That would be so disappointing...I hope it doesn't end up that way. But its understandable, way too much development time I think. I wouldn't mind some fresh characters anyway.

  • Bioware, if Mordin is not in Mass Effect 3, we're going to have a little... talk. *hides shotgun*

  • I'm reminded of Perfect Dark from the 64, especially the Area 51 missions with Elvis.

  • Well, I'm pretty sure if you send someone on one of the special assignments and they are not loyal to you, someone will end up dying, whether it's them, or another team mate. Also, if you send someone in that isn't appropriate for the job, they won't always be the one who dies, like when I sent my loyal legion through the tunnel, and my loyal Zhaed to lead, and as the door was being closed, legion ate one to the face.

  • Bioware if you are reading this

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD KEEP MORDIN FOR MASS EFFECT 3

    and his singing too

  • @Seargent09 Oh no, you gotta go to Bioware's forums to express yourself. You know, the place where all the thousands fanboys and girls are crying "BRING MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER INTO ME3!!!!23"

  • @Seargent09 Mordin could be dead by Mass Effect 3, remember he IS very old for a salarian

  • @AoiYukinoMisharu how old is he ? i didn't pay attention

  • @cutepoison1994 I'm not sure, but he has stated that he's old.

  • @AoiYukinoMisharu

    30+

He said he's in his last decade. Salarians live for about 40 years.

  • @cutepoison1994 According to the ME Wiki he is in his 50's. Which is very rare for Salarians.

  • @Seargent09 Sorry to disappoint you, but anybody can die in the end of ME2. Everyone from ME2 has to be just a cameo role in ME3 because there is no way to know who is dead or alive from every possible ending to the game.

There would be too much content to have all 12 of them in ME3, or new characters.

The live ones will probably show up in the end of ME3, though.

  • @weirdguy7 I think our mate AoiYukinoMisharu is right. Mordin could be dead in ME3 (maybe not from the beginning, but from any moment in game) even if he survived the ending of ME2. Thane too.

I don't like this, but it would be correct.
