  • BEST!!!

  • simply genius!

  • Search CWLeMusic for music made on reason!!!

  • I did that track for harry potter using reason, you can take an example of how it sounds with the velocity tool

  • good work my only suggestion will be to use the velocity tool, it will make the instruments sound more real, you are using the volume to create dynamics and it works a lot but try the velocity and you will see the difference, specially with the strings.

  • man can u put the reason file on the web of this soundtrack

  • epic! what plugins have u used?

  • @DKAkuYaenko

Reason does not work with plugins. He used his own sound libraries more about super strings refills NN-XT

  • @pivotao as a reason user, i can tell you that it does use plugins, as you do literally plug and unplug the devices on the virtual rack just like real hardware

  • awesome :)

  • Cood work! Its hard for me to tell the difference between samples and real orchestra.

  • I applaud you. I want to begin my jounrey through orchastration. Still have a ways to go. But the music I create at the moment will suffuce!.

  • how many time for do this ^^? good job

  • reason 5 is out i wonder what masterpiece you can make with that! You've got alot of talent

  • Wow.. you are awesome..

  • reminds me of Runescape haha

  • lord of the rings definelty got the best movie soundtrack ever.

and you recreated it almost pefectly with an small tool like reason 4 :) compared to an big orchestra ^^

    Much respect for you :)

  • you mentioned to another person below that this was composed entirely with reason.. howcome you have FL studio in the description and tags? just curious..

  • EPIC!!!

Maaaaaan how the burnig hell did u make this????

  • whoaah ! ! thats amazing man. Really awesome job ! ! !

  • Wow superb job I'm very impressed!

  • This is excellent man. Not all of Reason's orchestral patches are great, but you've made it sound brillant. Did you figure this all out by ear or did you have sheet music. Must have taken you a while to transcribe all the MIDI! :o

  • 4 peoples are Twilight Fan..

Do you really sequencing it one by one?

  • @taufan8687

    yes. one by one

  • @pivotao awesome man!!

  • fantastic work! i'm amazed

  • Very good! i like it =D thumbs up!

  • Where ist the "Subscribe" button? I just want to push it!

  • This is great. I love Reason. I'm pretty new to it though and can't figure out how to create more than 16 tracks at a time which is pretty important for orchestral stuff.

I create a 16 track mixer and that's as far as I can go

  • @kevycanavan if you right click on the mixer and then go to "create" then select another mixer, it should create a second mixer and it should automatically route it to the former mixer and chain them together.. this is one way

  • @kevycanavan great! thanks

  • @kevycanavan create a new mixer, but hold shift down when you do it, and then route the outputs of it into your first mixer, effectively doubling the size of your mixer!

  • you only used orchester inside reason , that was very cool ^^ ?

  • Oh Gandalf!!

  • pretty well done! good orchestral balance, though it's always hard to get it exactly right, but your getting pretty close!

(the high strings with faster movement is always a shame ;-))

  • this is fuckin sick... mad skill on reason keep up tha good work bro!

  • @BeastBeatz08 I second This. You are a True Musician

  • Creating convincing MIDI performances of orchestral performances can be a challenge with tweaking the parts. You can't rely on hard quantising - you've done a really nice job. I see you've automated modulation for expression etc.

  • This is great stuff :)

Reason's sounds are quite versatile. The Orkester sound bank is quite capable! For my orchestral compositions (I only have basic ones up the the tube at the moment) I chain up 3 mixers, use the filmscore and orchestral plate reverbs as (chained) Aux FX for use on all mixers. I tweak the reverb presets a bit and apply various amounts of each to each instrument. You can get a great sound like here if you spend time setting up (also adjusting attack and releases helps...)

  • @Sojio

Everything is made entirely of "Reason." This mixed and mastered in "Reason." Not used any other DAW

  • @Sojio

    Lets see your work smartass!

  • wow !!!

  • Wow, great job. sounds a lot like vangelis. I always wanted to score anime.

  • Are all these sounds the basic ones from reason or did you add some extra too it? Would love to know.. Great video :) Really enjoyed it!

  • @333plus333 It look like it was inside the NN-XT folders since thats what he's using. I see some SUPERSTRINGS in there.

  • it kicks asses mannnn...

  • Beautiful!

  • everything made with orkester perhaps ?

    great :)

  • la cagaste wn

  • very very awesome dude :D i am impressed

  • AWESOME!!!

  • kick ass 5 stars

  • The Strings are perfect

  • wat strings are you using..are they built in or did you buy them seperate...please answer...well done 5/5

  • awesome job man ! :) i am a user of Reason for 3 years now and i will continue to be because it an amazing software and for this song i give you subscribe and Friendship :D

  • Just amazing :D

  • who needs orchestras?

  • wow thats so good.

  • Reason is a very powerful tool if you know how to use it. From now on, any time I hear people bad mouthing this amazing software I'm sending them directly to this video. Amazing!!

  • @steveshort4steven reason is Pro its too hard to use for some people and that's why they say bad words for him ! but if you know your way around him :) then your the man and the soft is AWESOME .. can wait to make money and buy Reason Record Duo ! :Di wont use nothing more then those programs ! for my music

  • @steveshort4steven i will NEVER bad mouth reason. i got into it because my plugin library was getting unmanagable, and have never looked back

  • oooh you fuckin retard

    go to hell

no way a man could do this

you are a huge insane genius mate

    keep up

very pro work 5 stars for ya

  • I just came a little.

  • aaaaaahahahahahahha :)

    best comment out here

  • lmao

  • How did you get a video file in reason??

  • :D

You know ... you can compress the created video in another software and in there you can add extra stuff! Cool, eh? :))))

  • holy shit...you need to become a composer...no shit...

  • are you GENIUS? :D

  • damnn all that automation...

  • all that autmoatization is just the amount of the volume :))

  • lol I played the movie to see if this was really how it was, and you were pretty much dead on.

    keep up the good work.

  • I wish I knew how to use this damn program!

  • this is insane, great job!

  • crank very crank , goooood job ^^

  • DAMN!!!!!!

  • Wow impressive

  • 3 notes...WOW....that is fucking genius...i love the movies and of course the sondtrack..and that was so awesome..5/5

  • Agreed!

  • great work on the soundtrack.

    5 stars :)

  • Nice MIDI

  • haha wow man this is really well done!

  • 1:42

  • Amazing!

    Very good job!

  • WOW! This is really good :)

    Is this fl studio?

And how did you find the right strings and sounds...

And how did you know which sound you needed for every part... plz tell me :P

    (i can't speek englisch well...)

  • no reason 4.0 better than fruity loops just switched a week ago

  • I think what you did was brilliant, excelent exercise, did you taked it by ear all?

  • It was not a waste of time. It was an exercise to develop the auditory system. A good musician or director, must be able to separate the tools and knowledge that each melody is played.

  • I haven't got the hang of NN-XT yet. Though I don't have any Reason 4 lessons, I've learned most of the program by magazines.

  • man thats so cool. how long did it take u to make?

    5 stars man lol

  • Nice, this sounds nice... What VST did you use

  • it's Reason ;) you can't load VSTs in Reason, all the sounds come from the program itself.

  • no, you can use the sampler and loud other soudn in it.

  • yes sounds, but not programs like vsts. you would have to create the entire melody in a program that hosts vsts if u want to load the sound of a vst in reason. u could better rewire then.

  • wow wow wow ok i use fl and i love downloading new vst'

your saying you cant do the same for reason?

im trying to upgrade to reason cuz it seems more powerfull.

  • u can download refills, but not exactly VSTs. anyway u can come quite far with only reason, i've posted 2 tunes made with reason only, and tbh they sound better than anything i've made after those with VSTs. i do think tho that in the end VSTs can beat reason, but u really need to be a master of all VSTs u have, and reason i simply easier to use. to have best of both worlds: use FL (or Ableton Live in my case), and use ReWire to use both Reason and FL at the same time. plenty of tutorials at YT.

  • rewiring with Ableton Live is much easier tho, and the effects included with Ableton are much better.

  • Refils Reason orchester sound bank and NN19 Instruments (Zero-G)

  • very good ... i hope you make more filmtracks like these track

  • you download the midi, and you put in Reason! !!!!

  • No MIDI. All notes are extracted from hearing the original track

  • for what this many lanes to all musical instruments that the same one playing? why you were not useful combinator?

  • composed this track with reason 2.5, did not yet exist (combinators)

  • from hearing? no way...

too much work, you use notes or midi data.

  • well, someone had to make the midi from the beginning right? That's just as much work as he has done with this project, so why couldn't he make it?

  • @OpenGlv3 and Funmichi: some people actually are good at making music. *sigh* just becos u cant do this doesnt mean this guy cant.

  • ok, and why he delete my comment? maybe i'm right?

  • no maybe he just doesnt wanna hear bullshit. maybe he wants to prevent more ppl argueing about this. ask him, not me.

  • This should totally turn into breakcore about half way through

  • Amazing. This is impressive.

  • who cares?

  • wow you must be a genuis or a prodigy i couldent do that even if it took me two years having seen your other videos i need some idea on what is the best for reason 4 quality in audio and video with my pc becasue right now i get latancy with my piano and its impossiable to be in sync with please help so what do you use pc specs ?

  • i thought i could do things on reason till i watched this video...this is hands down one of the best remakes to a soundtrack ive ever heard...big ups man

  • Dude you need to get ahold of ik multimedia's reason 4 hypersampled brass and strings.

  • Wow....good job!Sounds Good!

  • hey very nice! Just got one tip for you: Add reverb! ;) reverb is the key!

  • Yeah,indeed!

  • NN-XT's are love<3

  • absolutely fantastic, what refills did you use on this? surely just not reason strings.

    Keep it up dude.

  • Grammar Police: "Surely NOT just Reason's strings."

  • lol, ok I forgot to put NOT in there lol

  • Amazing!! Reason 4 is preety cool!!

Could you help me with my reason song?

I'm very bad on reason, but i'm learning.

    Thanks!!!

  • Grammar Police: "Pretty" not "preety"

  • get a life u retard

  • What would I have done without your advice dude.

I feel like i've seen the Wizard of OZ, and he's given me a LIFE!. Now I can hold my head high, because I'm COMPETENT now.

  • ur talking about grammer police right, then why r u mugging yourself off, didnt you ever learn that a comma never comes before the word "and"

  • Retard police. That's spelling not grammar.

  • Savant violator. That's sperm not toothpaste.

  • haha but good remake sounds real or is it midi file you used

  • Shittle sticks Batman, we seem to have a found the holy one. Come close young one, you know the rights and wrongs of the world. You correct ones as if you are actually a deserving candidate to do so. All hail the fucking douche. By the way, this is a great remake. =]

  • stfu chamilionaire

  • thanks for the wrong name =]

  • no i was just trying to insult your name

  • very nice good work how long havee you go for this excelenc work

    Well done

  • Really, really good! wish I could do that all of the tunes fit the scene and are kinda the same in the film!! God you must of played the film like 50 times before you got the sound right!! I like the way you used all the

NN-XT's/samplers thor is good but it is only good for synths!! I create dance music sorry none are on youtube only the old (crap) ones are on it!!! anyway nice one keep it up ;-)

  • Unbelievable. I knew reason was capable of producing this sound. But it gets a bad reputation because eveyone thinks it's all for electronic, hip-hop, trance, and techno but Reason is capable of sooo much more. Great video!

  • How does it get a bad reputation, thats what it's made for!!! All the genres that you named there are the top buyers for reason. I know you could say if they made more things in it for classical music that the top buyers would be classical music producers but there is software for that so I think they should stick to the genre that they have it geared towards now! ;-)

  • So much work has gone into this score. Well done

  • hombre esto esta increible y hermoso

  • impressive.

  • Awesome! I use Reason pretty much on a daily basis and I love it. I'm more into commercial music though. Dance/House sort of.

  • that was magnificent. I was just posted a comment telling others that reason is capable of more than just techno beats and bass drums. I have been working on orchestral sounds myself (soundtracks). As well as on 11 different genres of music. Reason is GREAT!

  • Oh very dynamic.. =)

  • RESPECT

  • Could have used some more work on the mix (some reverb might have helped!), but a valiant effort!

  • just wondering, how long did it take you complete the song?

  • Very, very nice job!

  • wow dude i think it sounds very good!

must have taken a lot of time to make

  • Hi. excellent!!

    Have Reason4 and Movie synchronized?

    Rewire?

    How it synchronous?

  • Oh no! the editing in a video editor.

  • Pitiful! The Orch Bank is a waste of space. Sounds like a bubble gum dispenser.

  • what more could you ask from a $400 software? chill dude, we don't have 2 or 3000 dollars to spend on that high end shit.

I thought it was pretty good.

  • I adore Reason for its synths and the virtual CV cables. But this proof-of-concept-track has failed (to my ears). It sounds just as dull and lifeless as the game sound of X-Wing or TIE-Fighter from last millenium. And it's presented in MONO! Wtf is up with that? ;-)

  • youtube is mono

  • Yes youtube is mono, Dailymotion is stereo 2 chanels

  • i got mine for free full working reason 4.0

  • very well made mate, 5 *. Check mine (Reason 4).

  • very good, love the sound quality. what refill do you use for your orchestra sounds?

  • Yes, orchester sound bank and NN19 Instruments (Zero-G)

  • what zero-g pack did you use i have stuff by zero-g and for the life of me can i find the orchestra sounds? help plz

  • NN19 instruments, String textures(NN19)

  • 5 stars from me

  • Sequencing at its finest, a true to form version of this classic track, well done.

    Peace.

  • Not resigns, it is a matter of continuing to work. Reason is a very good software

  • You are a good advertisement for Reason 4. I've listened to a few of your tracks and I must say, I didn't know it was possible for anyone to have the patience to get this sort of sound out of Reason 4. I've been using Reason for a few years now, and I still don't know how to create something worth listening to. Should I give up? lol . Probably. Anyway, Well done, keep up the good work.

  • Very nice! Is this an original comp or did you copy it? if so.. can I give requests?

  • I made the construction of the song without copy, I have no score, of ear
