I have a 1986 TT 250 Yamaha and it looks newer than this one is the video.... it is a good bike. I have put an after market exhaust system on it and it sounds amazing. Its in much better condition than this 87' piece of crap!

@austinleeful I think the choice between 2 strokes and 4 strokes simply comes down to personal preference. Some may like the torque of the 4 stroke and others the explosiveness of the 2 stroke. Some may like the stable and planted feeling in the 4s and some may like the nimble handling of the 2's. I'm afraid saying big boys ride 4s and little boys ride 2s is a weak argument. There are a myriad of reasons why guys choose 2Ts over 4Ts - not just because they like the noise!

I have a 2006 tt-r 250 and I can bust any two stroke on trails, roads, hair scrambles, I just don't do the motocross on the bike against them, their suspension is set up much better for jumps. I race wr-250fs and wr-450fs on hair scrambles and long enduro runs and they all race, but are so pissed they have $6000 in their bikes and I have half that in mine AND THEY CAN'T TOUCH ME, I"VE RIDDEN THEM ALL 2 and 4 stoke and I realize real men ride 4 strokes little boys like all the noise of 2strokes

[JUST TO CLARIFY] this is not fair at all, and anyone who thinks it is does not know the hp of these bikes. If you want a fair battle do a yamaha yz250(the most sold 250 2 stroke of all time) vs. the cr250. have one rider rip both bikes(completly stock) around a track as fast as he can and compare the lap times.

For those of you taking a fat piss on the Yamaha.. back off. If you'd rode an 80's model you'd realise how much fucking torque it had. The only difference between a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke is the power band. It has nothing to do with its top speed.

Are you really trying to compare a modern 250 2 stroke to a post vintage 250 4 stroke? The cr makes probably about twice as much power and the suspension is infinitely better. While they are both good bikes there is no comparison.
