I'm not entirely sure. According to this, yes. A player is controlling the dragon. But in the other Monster Hunter games, you can't. So I don't know. The controls would be messed up =/

Dragons have 7 extremities (2 arms, 2 legs, 2 wings, a tail) and Wyverns only have 5 since the wyvern's arms are it's wings.

The difference is, Mhf2 doesn't have a PvP arena and it isn't as violent. This is in Japanese so it is more violent. They always get the good monster hunter stuff.

After I defeat the Ganototosu (my game is the japanese version, I don't now the monster's english name) and upgraded my village to level 2, it doesn't appear any quest! i think u can capture a monster and send it in arena i think ur monster has to fight the oppoent and u have to fight their monster. flutes are used to control ur monster and whoever can kill the monster first wins i think thats my theory.......
