  • The music sounds great and maestral and I personally like it and it does brings those chilling fellings from I & II maybe is little more less guitar then previous ones and bit more chaotic but it sounds great!

  • People, please, CALM yo tits. The song is the way it is for a reason. A new diablo game? A new score, possibly just for the damn cut scenes. In the original diablo game all those prime evils were secretive, dark, and trying their damnedest to get their plot done for most of their stay. Over all it was a more creepy and haunting process once our characters go after them. Now the situation has completely changed. Two sides are invading so this game over all is going to be a LITTLE more chaotic.

  • this music gives the perfect feel ominous in the beginning and unrelenting anger it gives a feeling of hopelessness idk wtf you people know about music but I can tell half of you people are moronic fools

  • Any download to this? or a hd version?

  • No no no!! This is not the music for this game! Please listen to the music from Diablo 1 and 2 (NOT LoD) - THIS is the kind of music for Diablo 3! Please do something with it because it will ruin whole atmosphere of the gameplay..

  • Diablo 2 Tristram Theme > ALL

  • Thumbs up if it really isnt safe here.

  • Thumbs up if you think blizzard would make soooo mush money if they but their games on console too.

  • I like the vocalization, but it doesn't fit the haunting atmosphere Matt Eulmen is known for. The arrangement is quite good for a battle scene or a siege, but I'd rather hear a sad, evil tune for the main areas.

  • Are you kidding me? Listen to the ascending intervals followed by irregular resolution that occurs twice before the end of the first minute: That is synonymous with the soundtrack from Diablo II. They're still stacking clusters like mad as well, keeping them voiced apart to prevent muddiness. 1:30 is a recurrent variation of the original Tristram theme, and it is orchestrated masterfully with a majority of the weight of the chords held in the mid-ranged voices.

  • People can say whatecver the fork they want, this music has the very original Diablo feel to it, a very bBlizzardy track, who gives a fork if Matt Uelmen isn't in it, they're OBVIOUSLY doing a good job lol xD

  • This music is shit compared to Diablo 2

  • the music is to actionish, it should be in wow not diablo, not creepy and calm like it should be like how it was in pervious diablo games, when i hear this music it reminds me of heroish stuff a big beast like diablo is the last thing on my mind when hearing this shit.

  • Gonna buy T2 and not D3 just because of Matt Uelmen.

  • People can say whatever they want - I think this music is freaking awesome

  • Mister Diablo is getting old, he is going to retire. Thus game is now going for dragon-age'ish fantasy game with trolls, ogres and orcs in it

    hahahaha

  • d2 expansion was more orchestry and its very fine to mix both which is was is planned in D3

  • Niech zyje DiabOlo !!!!!! xD

  • W8ing for THE game ....!

  • the one song was a bit irish pub?

    but its not bad

  • i don know why games all fail when they come out with 2nd and 3rd sequels ... one of the things they often ruin is the feel to it, this is especially when it comes to horror games ...

  • That yodeling is just awful! Uelmen is just as much a part of diablo as cain is, They need to bring him in for the Expansions

  • @dobrzemetal

They probably wanted to. However, Uelman either refuses to or is not allowed to because he is contracted into Runic Games, the people who made Torchlight.

  • Awesome! Diablo must move forward, not backwards. Diablo gameplay goes beyond the cathedral and the past adventures. Diablo must become movie, he got potencial!

Can't wait anymore to play! ;)

  • Blizzard, I am thoroughly dissapoint. What is WoW music doing in a Diablo game? /facepalm

  • I think this piece works well and is not too far from the most recent Diablo game. Lord of Destruction was musically very different from it's predecessors (orchestrated and inspired by Wagner) and Russel Brower is continuing from that. I have full confidence in him, his new music and that he will add in some bits from previous games. He worked together with Uelmen on some tracks for the Burning Crusade, so he probably knows something about how Uelmen works and how he would make game music.

  • The composer doing the music for Diablo III is Russell Brower, who did the Lich King main theme. Matt Uelmen left Blizzard with some other Blizzard employees to form Runic Games, the studio behind Torchlight.

  • No Matt Uelmen = Mega Frown

  • this is one of many reasons i won't be playing diablo 3, diablo 1-2 for life!<3

  • Music of this game is a great piece of.... big holy shit

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU THINK DIABLO 3 IS A SICK JOKE AND IS NEVER COMING

  • 1:39

wow blizzard can't go long without ripping off a lord of the rings design

  • Just be happy people come on.Blizz withmakeit how theywont so leave it be.DIABLO FOR LIFE.

  • I love the guitar songs in the first 2 Diablo's especially tristram.

  • I know they don't have Matt, but they should've at least tried to imitate that amazing distinct sound of his. Either way, I'm sure Diablo III will be amazing, and I played without music on D2 fairly often anyway since I needed to hear what my friend was saying over VoIP.

  • it isnt diablo without Matt Uelmen. maby its a good game, it just isn't a diablo game.

  • I hear some slight references to the original music in the opening cinematic from Diablo 1 ..nice.

  • @Rethic: Chaotic athmosphere. That's the point. Diablo1 was meant to be horrific and creepy, and diablo3 is meant to be chaotic and epic. And that make perfect sense with the story, since the action diablo1 was on a way smaller scale than diablo 3 (a demon is corrupting the king of a village VS the whole world is invaded by hell)

  • Too fast and Orchestral. Does anyone remember the music from the Original Diablo? So immersive and creepy. This is almost Star Wars quality.

  • @NHFandHFP Ur right, it willnever be the same feeling 'gain...

  • @MyWorG

Never getting the same feeling has more to do with you then it does the stimuli you're feeling.

  • @NHFandHFP

Tell me that they would showcase their slow and immersive stuff when you have a stage full of people playing instruments to immerse yourself in.

Have faith. I've continuously had faith in Blizzard while holding disdain for most other developers and Blizzard has continuously held true.

Play the game, then judge. I bet I won't even see the trees for the forest of beauty in front of me.

  • @NHFandHFP this is very cleche and generic music yes, d3 has deviated from the path set by the original game

  • @NHFandHFP Diablo 2 music was better. However, it doesn't fit with this game. So no.

  • @NHFandHFP i would agree, but i think that diablo 3 will be much more action oriented, so i guess it will fit.

  • @NHFandHFP Yes!!! Diablo 1's music was atmospheric and medieval sounding. Catacombs was my favorite, just maddening as the song progressed. D3's music has that cliche epic sound. I hate that. It's like it's trying to be movie quality, just should never have happened.

  • @NHFandHFP

Pretty sure this is combat music, hence, it'll be a little more active.

  • @NHFandHFP Diablo 3 IS THE greatest game EVER MADE ever in the history of ever made games ever..EVER...SO FUCK YOU. #bitch ass

  • @pigeonpsycho you haven't even played the game yet bro...=.=... im excited...but still

  • @NHFandHFP its a good thing =)

  • @NHFandHFP Really? People will make up anything just to be unhappy with something. Why do people find it necessary just to make themselves unhappy? I remember Diablo music and Diablo 2 music, both of which had songs in them that felt too uplifting and happy *cough* Tristram theme *cough*.

Most of this song is incredibly dark and ominous sounding. The new Tristram theme is incredibly dark and the game as a whole has the dark and eery feeling that we know and love about Diablo.

  • Where is the dark feeling..... this is just chaotic, there no athmosphere, no feeling to it..... =/

  • "This Place Is Thick With The Stench Of Ghouls...."

  • i really hate this song i dont want it to be the diablo 3 main theme.

  • @splider THNX!!

  • @splider Seems legit...

  • @splider

There IS no Beta so stop spamming Shit!

  • This song sort of reminds me of a musical score from Jurassic Park 2 the chaos continues for the snes, I think its in the mountain stage with all the pteridoctyles, or maybe its a different stage. anyways one of the songs in there. It starts at 0:53 and goes on for about 3 or 4 seconds. If you notice a resemblance please send me a message so I know others agree with me.

  • @ShrivyShrivey ok I looked it up starting at 0:53 in this video for about 3 or 4 seconds it sounds like music from Jurrassic park 2 the chaos continues for the snes. This is the video to look for to find it, Jurassic Park 2 - High Ptera

  • what is the name of the second song?

  • You people make the WoW forums look like Blizzard worshippers by comparison. You're tragically insatiable in so many ways. Grow a pair. I know you hate to hear it, but times change. Mind-blowing.

  • I really hope blizzard doesnt turn diablo 3 into a game that feels like wow, but like the rest of the diablo games, dark, gothic, and epic

  • diablo 3FTW it pwns WOW! I JUST QUIT WOW ... TO WAIT FOR D3

  • Nice music and all but..why are they turning Diablo in to another LOTR style fantsy game? :/

  • because any fantasy game is indirectly or directly a derivate of lotr, there's nothing we can do man, tolkien was really the king.

  • If you think that, you need to watch the wizard trailers again. ;)

That level of magic is not LotR style.

  • i love the song it makes the game mysterious and more exiting

  • Agreed. I just wish this fucking thing would come out soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • orchestral shit? hell no! amazing sound! turn volume to 100 man. this is perfect for rpg and adventures.

  • I hope it's only a theme music!

  • @otomichal86

nahh it's got that gladiator feel with the vocals and it's a got a upbeat war/dark sound with it

  • At the risk of getting thumbs down: does anyone notice that the aspect ratio is all messed up? You can tell by the moon at 1:05, thich looks like a fucking ellipse.

God, I really hate it, when people mess up the aspect ratio.

  • I like the fact that this has some parts of the original Tristram melody. but an acoustic guitar piece would be MUCH stronger than some orchestral shit. too bad Matt left Blizzard.

  • I DO LOVE CZECH FILHARMONY... Did somebody was ever on just one of theyr koncerts alive? IT IS AMAZING

  • seems kinda WoWish. I still am going to buy this.

  • its gona be b2p for sure, p2p prolly not

  • i hope that it online featre are free like the last ones

  • Honestly, Diablo III is being made by a different developer now. If you look at it that way it helps. The entire presentation has been completely changed.

Blizzard Irvine has just completely shit on Blizzard North's style and presentation. There's no way to sugar-coat that; it's the truth.

  • Is that why Matt Uelmen isn't participating in the creation of the D3 soundtrack?!

  • Damn really? So is D3 expected to be not that great with these different devs now? I really fear change like this, always makes me skeptical.

  • Agreed... the fact that the tristram theme has been changed WORRIES ME BEYOND BELIEF

  • but for me diablo 1 has a great concept of art music more than 2 .. but diablo 3 hmmm ill research for it

  • True, but the story elements were implied, not explained. So that is why I found the Diablo Timeline veeeeery informing!

  • Wow, from the atmosphere of the old Diablo games to Tommy Tallarico... It just gets better and better

  • Diablo 1's music was the best. Diablo 2's music didn't come close to being as awesome as it, and neither will Diablo 3.

  • That's a pretty unfair assumption, given that you haven't heard all of Diablo 3's music.

This one makes me think of a demonic Bambi for some reason. I think it's the choir.

  • Diablo 1 had a class named sorcerer,not mage....100% sure

  • woot!

Luved the first one and didnt heard the other ones!

    sick epic songs!!!

  • I actually hate that composers seem to think Xylophones are epic. They're not. REALLY!

Same goes for the stupid whistle. I hope this is the only song in D3 i hear it in. Otherwise i suppose i'm going to turn off the music.

  • And I take it that you're a world - famous composer then?

That's completely ridiculous...in some situations, whistles work - in some they don't - as with all instruments ETC...

  • Noob.

  • Yeah, you're right. That whistle really ruined the soundtrack in Willow...

    ...not.

  • Sounds like "Lisa Gerrad a little bit!

  • lyrics of the song:

    Mw´areh, en-hay-yeh.. : A new shadow.

Hen´hay´eriehh : Have fallen upon us..

    Hen´hary´eriehh fallen upon innicdent.

  • The Witchdoctor is Jamacan. :)

  • so is the sorcerer in diablo 1

  • yes, but i dont think its calling it the sorcerer, i think mage. D1 only had 3 classes, warrior rogue and the mage.

  • it was sorcerer not mage ffs.

  • Isn't it a wizard in diablo 1?

  • lmao you retarded jackasses only the first song is diablo the rest of WOW or warcraft lmao get over it

  • lol that music is some kind of joke.. wtf its diablo not warcraft

  • Diablo has changed a lot. these musics are chirpy full of life kinda. I don't mind that as long as they even it out with some spooky original music of some sort.

Let the colorful darkness consume your soul... just kidding. :3

  • Diablo has gone from a simple dungeon delve into humanity's battle to survive the war between heaven and hell. I think the theme goes a bit above the heads of spiders in moldy caverns.

  • But nevertheless, Diablo conveys mostly mystical, demonic and phantasmal dwellings. Needless to say, anybody could be sure that it'll not stray from that way. Most definitely the amplitude of this game will continue to weave further beyond its already stunning and diverse environments. However contradictory it would seem, I believe that the dungeons and caves do play a big role in the theme of Diablo. Thus it shall go in parallel to say the music will go in conjunction with breaking the limits.

  • Agreed to all. I was duly impressed with how D2 incorporated D1's music along with new themes, and expect D3 to do much the same.

Some people didn't like the fact that D2's music went a bit more epic than the first game, but the world stage is also more vast (as opposed to one town and a huge dungeon) and there's more characters affected by its demonic events.

  • Why would you expect that? Based on this? The guy who wrote both of those scores is gone.

  • Um...

Call it an educated guess: Diablo 2 had elements of Diablo 1. This has elements of Diablo 2. So I can well imagine that Diablo 3's soundtrack will feature overarching elements from the previous games, even if new stuff is added as well (which it should).

  • And we couldnt possibly care less about your opinion or the fact that you even live or died

  • Shake off your beer goggles for a moment to acknowledge that most adult gamers who got creeped out by bits of Diablo 1 as a kid aren't going to be anywhere near terrified of Diablo 3 sheerly because everyone's already been conditioned for this stuff.

  • Cool story, bro.

  • Oh you!

  • An armored hero slaying a demon with his sword is neither original nor alternative. It was dark and violent, though. I'll give you that much.

And now for the elephant in the room: what does Warcraft possibly have to do with Diablo 3 other than music from both games share this video?

  • so when is this actually gunna come out?

  • wow... they managed to make the tavern music sound epic.

  • Well actually if you think about it in Diablo 1 was set in a small village called Tristram so it was supposed to be simple like. While Diablo 3 is supposed to be wordly and epic so the grand orchestra-type music kind of fits.

  • WOW just because you have a different opinion doesn't mean you have to talk shit. Comments are for sharing opinions, not being an asshole.

  • The wonderful thing about PC games is you can always hack the sound file and put in your own music. Diablo 1 had great music for the game's atmosphere, but it wasn't varied enough for one that took as long to play through as Diablo 2. D2 did, however, have the occasional nod to D1's music, and I bet D3 will hearken back to both of these great games.

  • 9:01

    act1/ blood moor song ?

  • Tristram in Diablo II

  • music from diablo 3 :excelent

    music from wow: poor

  • .... lol....

  • music from DMC = cheesy metal

  • They are both great... I do love the exotic nature of Diablo tho.

  • Excellent!

  • nope its diablo 3

  • the second song is from WoW, not D3..

  • Comment removed

  • @aahatch second is from lion's Pride inn at Goldshire

  • mmm i tink the second song is from WoW not diablo :S

  • of course it is. The guy said "welcome to Lion's Pride Tavern." And the video info says "Music from Diablo 3 and WoW played live..."

  • I LIKE BLIZZARD

  • wow in the ship`is the 2º song

  • Dangit, this game won't come out for like 2 more years, if you know how blizzard is, and adding delays like starcraft and wrath of lich may or had

  • Which is exactly why the game will kick ass.

  • are you kidding? that's one of the better parts of the song imo

  • That woman's eerie melody adds to the "gothic/dark" theme of Diablo... In WoW, you would have (if vocals are included in the music) a choir or some sort and make the melody sound suspenseful or upbeat. In Diablo, they made it subtle and ghastly, which makes it a perfect addition to the Diablo theme. And yeah, it's true. It's one of the better parts of the song since it boosts the eeriness of the scene.

  • This game will be......EPIC. I have been playing diablo 2 for 8 years, and finally the sequal is here. I only hope we dont have to pay for online gameplay.

  • I just hope there wont me as much assholes on battle net

  • @MetalGearGeorge nah. its free throught battle.net you just create an account =)

  • the beginning of this song is so d3...epic

  • ich bin schon heiß auf das spiel...

  • I hope the Lions Bride Tavern is not in Diablo 3. Its straight from WoW, so whats the point?

  • Read the video-info ^^

  • is similiar at d2 Lod

  • Yeah, has the same sound pattern as in

Siege on Harrogath from Diablo 2 LOD.

  • YES! when i first played lod that track was the best when i went out of the camp and the seige music started playing.. the music in this one is gona be very much like lord of destruction music!

  • Yeah, Act 5 had some pretty epic stuff at the beginning.

  • Thanks for this video, made my day!! Cant wait for D3 to come out!

  • imba music

  • That is the most inane comment I've seen all day.

  • cant wait 4 it !

  • i hope d3 has music as epic as d2

  • Yeah.. I really like the intromusic, the one that u can hear here in the video..
