You don't have a 500x zoom lens, that is digital zoom which gains nothing.

They look like gas filled objects tumbling in the jetstream.

The colors are called 'Chromatic Aboration' caused by lenses.

Go buy a $5,000 lens and a tripod and you will be disapointed in the truth before your own eyes.
