We attend every year and always have a blast. Its a great show put on by the inmates. There is also a huge market where the trustees can sell their craft and other art items. There is some really amazing talent there

Yeah My Brother.....This is something that has been going on for years.....I have never been to the one here in Texas, but from what I understand its one of the best Rodeo's around.....like you said they have nothing to loose.....the best event is where four prisoners sit at a card table in the middle of the arena and they let a bull loose, the winner is the last man still sitting when the bull charges the table.......LOL......LH&R from Texas

I guess if they wanna do it, its up to them, i think the danger aspect of it is a bit OTT.

but, it is their choice, and they get to see their family so i guess good luck to them and i hope they can run fast!!

Its one of those things you cant call til you are in that situation i guess.

I some how think that it wont catch on over here tho lol, with the red tape and PC brigade always on the watch lol

I just watched the video, at the end of the video they did not tell you what the inmates were doing with the bull. The inmates that want to go for it get in the ring with the bull. The bull has a money bag tied to it horns, the one that gets that bag , keeps the money

Howdy Dibber , I live there! Well not in the jail hehehe,,, but in Louisiana. I've been to the rodeo a few times and it is a blast! Some of those guys will never get out and they figure they have nothing to lose. Thanks for the shout out for my home state

I've seen this video recently....yes,it does seem outlandish...but perhaps,since it is very popular with the inmates and encourages mental as well as physical activity....I do believe it is of a positive nature...no harm done,really...in my opinion.
