  • I love M.Loaf, but , in this concert, he looks too bad.Hi´s voice is shacking... You are my hero and I wish the best to you, Meat.

  • Although I never really liked his voice, it was unique and the writing with Jim Steinman was nothing but pure musical genius ! ! and there hasn't been a collaboration like this since.

  • o boy, I saw him in the 80ies and he was great - but this is bad. Its even worse then David Coverdale last year.

  • I agree. Sounds like he has a cock in his mouth...

  • hes getting on. hes been singing for so many years. his battered his voice to the limit hes pushed and pushed to produce some of the most amazing records ever. give the guy a break. he is amazing end of !

  • Whats his condition that he has? anyone know? still a great singer will always be legend! but does look tired out.. But just curious if anyone knows what his condition was or is.? ps. for all meat loaf haters. lets see y'all reach the notes at the age of 60 that he did in his much much younger years!

  • He is great...but he seems really tired out. He can't hit the notes thast for sure in this. I lived in London during this time too. The band is great though.

  • Meat Loaf haters can kiss off!! Im seeing him tomorrow a PNC Art Center in New Jersey in a meet a great. I will meet him and the band as well as see a kick ass concert. I been looking for a long time for this. Im sure I wont be sleeping tonite.

  • Haters need to piss off. Anyway, wasn't this the same year they discovered a cyst on his vocal chords?

  • @evilemperordude exactly, the DVD is from spring 07 and the cyst on the vocal chord appeared around October the same year.

  • Nice. Lol.

  • yeah meatloaf is great but freddie mercurry is the best!! but i'l give meatloaf the 2 place. that's good too right

  • It is difficult to be a person and easy to be a star. Meat never liked the idea of being a star. And today, he don't act like a star. A man with alot of heart and loves what he does. Makes every moment just so important.

  • meatloaf is better than michael jackson and elvis combined, he just doesnt play the whole media drama thing. you rock meat!

  • Meat fucking rocks!!!!!!!!!!

  • Meat loaf--- The best there was, The best there is, The best there will ever be!!

  • Not only is Aspen Miller an incredible beauty and talent, Meat deserves unconditional rock cred forever. There is and will only ever be one.

  • They don't do the full thing, but everything sounds and looks extraordinaire! I wish I had have been there!

  • Aspen Miller (the brunnete backing) is very beautiful

  • And C.C. (the long haired blonde one :)

  • Hes getting old, you can't deny it. If this were thirty years ago, he would have the crowd going insane. But unfortunately, age doesn't give anyone a break. If you went to an NFL/NHL game with both teams full of 50-60 year olds, would you expect the kind of action from teams with 20-30 year olds? But the man is so amazing, so damn extraordinary that even as he fights to keep his breath, he gives it all he can, and his fans love him for it. I dare you to find anyone this dedicated to their fans.

  • for your info! he is not big anymore.

I saw him last month and was surprize how much weight he lost. but, he was great. I was

so happy.almost had a heart attack when he smiled at me and I told him how much I loved him...

  • i was there :)

  • he'd have a heart attack if he put more effort into it!

    hehe

    he's a great performer though

  • He needs no diet. If he was skinny he wouldnt be Meat Loaf...

  • The monster is loose, tell me can you fell it?

And yes, we can still feel it. Awesome koncert, and though his condition, we owe him some respect, and he really tryed hard, you can see that. He still knows how to kick ass.

  • as a loyal fan i respect the fact he tried and despite his condition he still kicked ass

  • thank u thank u u have just saved me over 200 euro was going to see him in the marquee in cork phew close one this is seriously bad will use the money to see alter bridge in nov thx again

  • His performance is poor because of his condition. A loyal and true fan will always love him

  • This is shockingly baaaaaaaaaaad. He seems in the middle of an episode or something. Someone get him his pills!

  • He ain't that big anymore, he's taken care of his weight.

    He's just old.

Muse is awesome, but the live show seems generic.

  • does he still sing with Patty Russo? he is a legend and the all time greatest Rock Hero, ive seen him live he connects with croud like no other preformer, when u pay to see him u aint paying for just a great show but a great experiance get well soon Meat!!!!

  • patti russo left the NLE in early 06 and now is coming back for the tour in UK & EUrope this year. On the tour last year the wonderful Aspen Miller took her job, and she was amazing, you can see it 3 Bats Live from London, Ontario.

  • Is there a main websitefor 3 bats live or something???

  • He's still a legend....

  • a very burnt out legend, this is sad to watch... he cant sing for shit anymore...how sad.

  • (sorry I pushed the wrong button and it sent the comment before I finished), (Below) or think about jacking it in. But still he's given the next generation a heck of a run along with parents, uncles etc a chance to relive the olden days. Much respect Meatloaf

  • Ye he may be losing his singing (if thats makes sense) but he still performs well, and i saw him in may last year i didnt really know any of his songs and I thought it was so good the next day i booked tickets for Nov which he didnt end up playing. I dont know when this was filmed but remember when he cancelled his last tour he had gone 18months solid that would take it out of bands like Muse & Kaiser Chiefs

In short, cant wait for him to play in England again thats not on when im on holiday =)

  • Muse toured for much longer than 18 months on their last tour, so yeah...

  • Ye and it probably took it out of them, not forgetting that Meatloaf is 60ish and they are 30ish so it would affect them differently and to different extents.

    =)

  • Just saying that your statement was misleading.

  • Ye, when i wrote my first comment i was just getting annoyed cos of people always having a go at him so i may have been wrong. =)

  • Your comment wasn't necessarily misleading...as you said, Meat is 60 and he performs nearly 3 hour shows, 4 or 5 times a week for 18 months and you can tell his shows physically drain him for the effort he puts into it. I don't know this Muse but I guarantee they don't put the effort into their shows that Meat does.

  • :D

Well i have to say Muse dont play for as long as Meatloaf, and i dont think they play as many times a week, but i may be wrong. =)

  • The only reason Meat Loaf's shows take any effort at all is because he is 60 and incredibly obese. ALl he does is stand and sing now, whereas before he used to dominate the stage.

It's time for him to call it a career and wrap it up, in my opinion.

  • Meat Loaf only performs for 1 hour 45 minutes because his insurance company only allows to carry on for that long after he collapsed on stage.

  • yep, he used to go on for 2-3 hours and he is incredibly loyal to his fans and we love him!

  • Its about time he called it a day, he cant sing for shit anymore. hes a legend i know...but hes just making a complete fool of himself thesedays.

his singing voice left him years ago and its about time his recoed company and management told him .

HES A WELL AND TRUELLY BURNT OUT LEGEND.

  • Now that I have this, I reccomend it to everybody. Thanks for the post and check out the Meat Loaf videos that Paul Crook (his guitarist) posts.

  • Are you people deaf? I love Meat Loaf's music but this performance is terrible. The musicianship of this concert is great but I urge everyone: DON'T GET THIS DVD. Meat Loaf's vocals are shaky, weak, and half the time he isn't even singing... more like muttering.

You'd have to be a pretty devoted cult-like follower of Meat Loaf to think this was good.

  • That's why he sold out the greatest Venueus in Europe this year, Wembley, KÖlnarena in Cologne Germany etc. .. the dvd went pos. 1 in dvdchartz in UK !! you think he can't sing anymore, others like his singing, so why telling them not to buy the dvd...leave your frustration at home pls. ;)

  • agreed. I love the Meat Man, but this is gross and awkward to listen to...

  • @NGCG my brother has this dvd im a big meatloaf fan but when he showed it to me. it was so terrible all i cound do was laugh. an say no no no want is he doing that is so bad. my brother asked me if i wound like to have the dvd to keep i said no way they will not be able to give these away.

  • i really wish therre was some more videos from tthis concert..

  • Get the DVD! It's awesome!

  • Hehe, I was at this concert :)

  • Also, he was fantastic when I saw him in August!

  • I have this DVD and love it just as much as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra DVD.

  • I am buying this DVD as soon as its released... and for an extra spoiler.. Blind As A Bat is on the ol' YouTube now :)

  • I've this DVD (3 Bats Live)

    It is just AWESOME!

Remember Meat Loaf is 60 years old!

You can't look at concerts maybe 30 years ago.

For his age, he rocks awesome!

I can just say you: Buy it!

    I love the DVD!

Maybe it is a little better than Melbourne...!!! :-?

  • well I saw the National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neely, who is 66 years old and still belts out "Whyyyyyyyyy should I diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!!!!!!!!!!" at 66 years old and it gave every last person chills. He is great.

Meat Loaf's voice is just giving out, and that is a honest fact. True, he is still an entertaining person and I am still buying this DVD.

  • I just bought the new DVD, and it rocks. Yeah, his voice isn't the same as it was in 1967, but he's a 60 year old man now and I thought he still sounded great.

I bought the Limited Edition 3bats dvd, and you get a documentary with it where a film crew filmed him for 5weeks, preparing for concerts, etc. and it was sad to see him come off the stage at the end all fatigued and breatheless. But He still manages to pull it off!

  • i love meat loaf. but lets be honest, his voice has really gone down hill. i went to watch him in march however and it was amazing

  • Yeah I agree! he doesn't have the lung capacity anymore to hold those long notes.

I was at this concert and it was a lot of fun! He is a great performer.

  • yeah, just seeing the man perform made up for the lack of vocal ability in my opinion. he still managed to hit some pretty good notes when i saw him in manchester though.

  • Do you have any more? Please Post

  • Please post more songs. I don't even think its sold in the US.

  • The DVD is coming out in the US on November 20th

  • I could hardly hear the guitar near the end. An awesome live version of a personal favourite. <-- Canadian way of spelling it.

    Awesome Song!

  • and british way :)
