  • what key is the whistle?

  • Trad music at it's best!

  • Second Jig is "Nora Crionna" . The first one is also known as "Mug of Brown Ale". Both are available in ABC, standard notation, and midi versions at 'theSession'. In this video, the whistle is a 'C' Generation.

  • The whistle is a Generation red-top.

  • what's the name of the second jig??

  • Looks like John Sindt whistle

  • anyone know what kind of whistle he is playing? None of mine sound that good!

  • @lilibet939

Hi Lilibet...the whistle looks like a feadóg tin whistle. On a Side note. Whistle playing might look simple but you only a get out a decent tone of an instrument if you practice alot and feel connected to it. Play all notes seperately and take your time. Listen to the sound and differences when you control your breath. Try to find the best tone for each note you are playing. Too many people play a whistle without any Connection to it. Good Luck

Tin whistle is really pretty hard to learn. I tried it myself for a while and it was much harder that a recorder for instance ;) Well I started with Bodhran instead now and as a guitar player...well its not really a big deal. Like u would get the lesson for free learning guitar , try it mates!
