@shakaama , you might also want to consider the fact that, there is an ever growing Asian influence on Western culture, & since in general Asian men tend to have less body hair than some of the other ethnic groups, this influence could be part of what's changing people's attitudes. Lets also not forget that, in the last 60 years, a large percentage of people have moved from rural farming communities to the cities, where they live & work in closer proximity to one another.
Yes people have moved to the suburbs but, its a far cry from labor intensive existence folks had 50 - 60 years ago. What I can tell you is millions of people in industrialized nations suffer from diseases related to poor diet, lack of exercise, & poor lifestyle chooses like smoking, & drinking too much. Studies have shown, even being 15 pounds over weight can have adverse health effects, and as someone who's family has been hard hit by the effects of the poor lifestyle choices I mentioned above, I see being fit as the only way to avoid the strokes, diabetes, etc, that have ended the lives of loved ones.
Since I have also since users hate on folks who do exercise demo vids, or vids simply showing them working out, I know there are many jealous folks on youtube. One of which said in a comment that, "if he was in as good of shape as the guy in the video, he could probably lift more weight". The fact he said if tells me he is probably a fat ass couch potato, & the fact he says probably means he has no goal or deadline & has no intention of achieving such a goal.
As someone who has struggled with weight over the years, who suffers a defect in my skull that has caused neurological problems, & who suffers mild scoliosis, fitness has never come easy for me, & I had a setback for a time due to the skull defect for some time. However, meds have greatly improved things, so I use imagery like that above to motivate myself, rather than to hate upon someone. I appreciate maybe more than most what it takes to get into that shape, & to stay in that shape.
I also blame modern body building which focuses on getting bigger & bigger, rather than an over all balanced physique, the industry has also failed athletes & itself by not doing anything & everything to make steroids illegal. Just watch the documentary, the man who's arms exploded to see how bad things can get. This has nothing to do with fitness models, everyday athletes, & Olympic & pro athletes that don't take steroids & other harmful substances.
Pro Athletes, Entrepreneurs, Actors, Musicians, & many other public figures who perform in front of a live audience or in front of crew members are often Alphas, which can include women. The buff guys pictured here are not the body type that will drive people to disease, its either the rail thin male models that drives many to become anorexic, & the lack of knowledge on the part of those who seek instant results via steroids.

What I can tell you is millions of people in industrialized nations suffer from diseases related to poor diet, lack of exercise, & poor lifestyle chooses like smoking, & drinking too much. Studies have shown, even being 15 pounds over weight can have adverse health effects, and as someone who's family has been hard hit by the effects of the poor lifestyle choices I mentioned above, I see being fit as the only way to avoid the strokes, diabetes, etc, that have ended the lives of loved ones.

Since I have also since users hate on folks who do exercise demo vids, or vids simply showing them working out, I know there are many jealous folks on youtube. One of which said in a comment that, "if he was in as good of shape as the guy in the video, he could probably lift more weight". The fact he said if tells me he is probably a fat ass couch potato, & the fact he says probably means he has no goal or deadline & has no intention of achieving such a goal.

As someone who has struggled with weight over the years, who suffers a defect in my skull that has caused neurological problems, & who suffers mild scoliosis, fitness has never come easy for me, & I had a setback for a time due to the skull defect for some time. However, meds have greatly improved things, so I use imagery like that above to motivate myself, rather than to hate upon someone. I appreciate maybe more than most what it takes to get into that shape, & to stay in that shape.

I also blame modern body building which focuses on getting bigger & bigger, rather than an over all balanced physique, the industry has also failed athletes & itself by not doing anything & everything to make steroids illegal. Just watch the documentary, the man who's arms exploded to see how bad things can get. This has nothing to do with fitness models, everyday athletes, & Olympic & pro athletes that don't take steroids & other harmful substances.

Pro Athletes, Entrepreneurs, Actors, Musicians, & many other public figures who perform in front of a live audience or in front of crew members are often Alphas, which can include women. The buff guys pictured here are not the body type that will drive people to disease, its either the rail thin male models that drives many to become anorexic, & the lack of knowledge on the part of those who seek instant results via steroids.
