the best ripper movie ever made despite several errors to alanheath if u bothered to c the end they did say that their opinion was the one they used from painstaking research of the official files and interviews with scotland yard/criminologists who may have different views. Let me tell u something sunshine JTR was a DR and he did have 2 helpers read schwartzs statement! the from hell movie was more accurate in showing what whitechapel really looked like in 1888. GREAT MOVIE for it s time yes !

@TakaS013 I have it on one of my channels with that problem. The words not matching the mouth as you put it is caused by the encoding of information to make it suitable for windows movie maker and then uploading to you tube.

Sad to see some people on various sites mocking this because they think it's a Scream 2 rip off & unrealistic! It's a drama not a documentary and the eventual conclusion seems far more believable than Prince Albert Victor or James Maybrick etc etc. Watched this on Tv and loved it ever since, Susan George is great + Mansfield, The Pimp, Lusk etc etc etc.

There have already been several cases in London with the epithet of 'Ripper' The 'Blackout Ripper' who killed and mutilated several women in the early 1940s when lights were put out during the Blitz, the Hammersmith Nudes Case of the 1960s when several prostitutes were killed- never solved and the 'Camden Ripper' who killed three sex workers in 2002/03 to name some. The Camden Murder of 1907 also had similarities....

i love this version michael caine and lewis collins are superb in it i also liked from hell and murder by decree they basicly follow the same kind of theory but there exellent films the rest ive seen have been crap in my opinion .

Try amazon,however it will be a region 2 format. You need an all region DVD player. Not released in the USA for some ridiculous reason.

good point about the how can there be a movie so gruesom, ill tell you why , becuase there is a bit of gruesom in everyone , and society loves negative things and also becuase there is a killer in everyone .

it was real becuase jack the ripper was william wallace reincarnated william wallace was killed in a very similar way 600 years before and five people were involved in his death they reincarnated as the 5 girls and wallace came back as jack to repay them there karmic debt

One of the men suspected to be the Ripper was married to a woman whom he discovered was moonlighting as a prostitute. he quickly divorced her but of course never got over his bitterness over her infedelity, so he diecided to take out his rage on prostitutes.

most of the facts were right, its just the facts you may think are wrong are the facts linked to the the theory they show in the movie. Remember, there are alot more theories. i personaly don't beleive the movie theory either btw...

but i still love the film!!

I have placed a Jack the Ripper film here that I made in Whitechapel and there is a very good series by Michael Winner also available called the Diary of Jack the Ripper (although the theory there is also incorrect).
