  • Johnny is anazing

  • Who cares about the R&R Hall of Fame!? It is just a big tourist draw/trap in Cleveland. We don't need that place's electors to tell us that Johnny is great-We already know it.

  • maravilhas dos anos de ouro tempo que nao voltara jamais que pena

  • lembranças inesqueciveis das baladinhas promovidas por meu cunhado valdeci bragerolli kkkkk..

  • Totally agreed, aseventh. I've also seen Johnny twice in concert and he's all that and more.

  • TEMPO BOM QUE JÁ MAIS VOLTARA, ESTA MOLECADA DE HOJE NÃO SABE O QUE ERA BOM

  • Johnny is Johnny, dont't matter the time. He will be great for ever!

  • So humbling to hear the songs of Johnny sing. W

  • The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame doesn't deserve Johnny Rivers. Everyone knows he is good enough to be inducted and why he's not is a shame to those who do the voting. Hopefully, he'll be inducted during Johnny's lifetime. You're always a Hall Of Famer to me Johnny!

  • He should definitely be in the hall. He would easily be in the Top 50 percentile.

  • Johnny its too big for the hall of fame!

  • Totally agree with aseventh. I've also seen JR in concert twice and it's a travesty that he still has not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I cherish the signatures & pics from his meet & greets. A totally awesome guy.

  • isn't too late for loving!

  • It would be unjust if the R&R Hall of Fame waits until Johnny is gone to honor him .... at least the fans appreciate him now!!!

  • @AGibsonJ The R @ R hall of fame is a joke so many great artists have been overlooked and Johnny is one, its graft and politics

  • muy bien

    ok

  • muy bien

  • That it´s too late To say you´re sorry It´s too late To say you´re mine!

  • This is for Dear Darlene!!! I Loved you here on Earth and I Love You in Heaven!!! R. I. P. SweetHeart! Love, Your Little Sis, Gail

  • Thank You for this great video. Thanks for this

great media.I am searching this media for all other great songs that I(everybody) should have heard over the airwaves.I have always liked Johnny Rivers. He should be in the Hall

of Fame. What is the measurement? - artistry

    or commercial success?

  • this guy never fails to amaze me

  • Johnny is one of those artists who are better in concert and should be heard live on stage to really appreciate their talent.

  • lovely!!! I love JR

  • Eu gosto de várias músicas do Johnny Rivers. Só não entendo porque os vídeos daqui do youtube são incompletos. Além de "It's too Late", "The Tracks of my Tears" também é apenas um trecho. Como pode um cantor de músicas tão legais não ter vídeos completos?

  • I had to join in on this conversation. I have seen Johnny Rivers in concert twice. You won't see a better concert from anyone. Johnny is a dynamite singer, guitar player and performer.I have written the Rock Hall via email several times about Johnny Rivers not being included and they send back a lame disclaimer response.George Clinton,Mahalia Jackson, Bill Monroe are in?Yet Johnny Rivers,Linda Ronstadt,Carly Simon,Dionne Warwick and The Moody Blues are not in.The Hall has no credibility with me!

  • right on aseventh! great point...Johnny Rivers should definitely be IN

  • @aseventh : You are correct, The R & R HOF is a shameful joke. The political correctness is transparent, Joni Mitchell is also in, Give me an break!

  • Everybody you mentioned should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sting and Whitney Houston qualify for induction this year. They're probably not in. Sting is already a R&RHOF'r with the Police. If you've been in the music industry for at least 25 years, you qualify for induction.

  • @aseventh I don't understand what's up with the Hall, I found out the Moody blues though some radio talk show. i thought they were in, Nuts to them I'll never visit. thanks for the Info.

  • Não apenas este, mas todos os vídeos de Johnny Rivers são geniais. Ele é demais!!!!

    Celeste

  • !!!

  • Johnny belongs in the Hall of Fame... Singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer and he sounds like no one else. Plus, he wrote such a gorgeous song, "Poor Side of Town"!!! [Linda Ronstadt should be there too].

    D++++++++++++++

  • I saw Johnny at the Whisky in the 60's and he was the house band at the time. Everyone went there to hear his group. Some of his best songs were versions of others' hits. He had a rockin' band.

  • The Whisky Go Go live hits were the best of

J.R. The crowd was alwasys of Hi calipar

people ( the in crowd ) at that time the year's were 1963/1970 During this period

one can tell that J.R. music was changing

to R&B hits to the his best Changes Album

  • Johnny Rivers is so good it is sickening that he isnt in the Hall....I ask you, who, among all singers, could ever sound like Johnny? This guy was a uniqely gifted musician, a once in a lifetime performer, much like Darin was....

  • i agree! he covered other artist's songs but with his voice, his style, his intensity, he gave those songs a new life. the answer to your question, is absolutely no one could ever sound like johnny. he should definetly be in the hall of fame.

  • I called the RockHall and they said he meets all the criteria for induction and he would make an excellent choice. He scored number one on Billboard and has been the number one cover artist of all time.

  • WOW:) I Thought He Was In The Hall Of Fame:) What Are They Thinking:)

But Then Again:) Elvis Only Had Grammys For Gospel Music:) Imagine That:) Same People:) LOL:) I Think:)LOL:) Need To Write The

Hall Of Fame:) Gosh:)He Is A Great Talent:) Writer, Singer,Songwriter:)

    God Bless:)

    The Boss:)

  • Johnny can sing any type of song...rock, folk, country and do it really well. Saw him a few years ago in Woodbridge, VA...still sounds the same and does a great show!

  • my panties go off for johnny(giggles) he's so hot and his voice does things to me i am not going to even mention >:)

  • Of course Johnny Rivers deserves to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame... The problem is that he is an artist who made fun records and not a larger than life artiste for the Jann Wenners of the world

  • I agree with the hall of shame deal, but there is one more that was left out and it doesn't make any sense. CONNIE FRANCIS

  • What kind of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is it without Johnny Rivers in it. The most overlooked rock star in the world.

  • We just call it "The Rock and Roll Hall of Shame"! You bet JR belongs in there! I'd like to see him get in while he's still alive!

  • I like both this rendition and Bobby Goldsboro's. It is my favorite song called "It's Too Late" from a tapestry of different songs with this title. (That word "tapestry" was thrown in there intentionally.)

  • This guy was a gifted, powerful, soulful performer that was better than almost anybody of his generation. Commanding stage presence. Convincing singing talent. Awesome guitarist. Super song-writer. Gifted producer of his own songs and many, many more of his peers. Hall of Fame material if there ever was one.

  • This guy WAS?

  • Isto é música... bons tempos

  • I saw him a couple months ago at a casino here. I was surprised to see how young he still is! LOL

  • Yeah, he must have made a deal with ??? Maybe he has a picture in his attic that's getting old instead of him!

He just turned 65 last week!

  • Maybe i should have said, how young LOOKING he still is,LOL> non-the-les, still looks and sounds the exact same way as he did 30 - 40 years ago.

  • I just saw him three weeks ago at a casino in California and he is just awesome! He puts on a great show and it was worth every mile and every dime we spent to get there to see him! I wish he'd come to Idaho!

  • Yes! This guy was and still is a huge musical talent. Commanding stage presence. Awesome vocalist. Powerhouse guitarist. Talented producer. Has his own record company! Topnotch producer. Greatest cover artist of all time. Hall of fame material if there ever was. See him live and you might agree.

  • I agree with you.I born in buenos aires, argentina. And the band that best sound was J:Rivers,CCR,Stones and The Hollies. Thanks Johnny for your speciall voice and talent

  • official Johnny Rivers website - johnnyrivers dot com - for info on tour dates, purchase music, message board, etc

  • This is great! I agree with ynnhob! When and where was this recorded? It's awesome

  • I don't know where this performance took place, but it's was in 60's.

  • He looks older than his 20's, plus his hair looks like a mullet, I really think this is more 90's. look at his other videos from the 60's and he's more dressed up and has his hair thick on his head. He had a 'fro in the 70's. Thanks for posting this, it's my favorite!

  • @videosrecuerdos I don't believe this is the '60s. More like the 80s...

  • @videosrecuerdos , looks more like the 80s to me

  • Thanks slowdancer 77 for your agreement. It's nice to

know that other people feel the same as me 'bout J.R.

He was popular here in Sweden in the sixties. Put 10

records in the Top 20 '64-'73.

  • Yes, I just love this guy and his music. I really like this one the best that I've seen on Youtube! I was in Sweden in 1968! Went with my Grandmother to visit family! Beautiful country!

  • Nice you like our country! Johnny visited us in

'73. Played Stockholm and 2 more places. I have

always liked the U.S. Grew up with the language

    and the American music.

  • Looks like mid-80's to me. I saw him in '82 and this is pretty much the way he looked then.

  • I really enjoyed this.

  • Great! This is better than Bobby Goldsboro's

original. I want to thank you, all you people

out there, for posting all these great videos

of J.R. From the bottom of my heart.
