People get over it with the subgenres and crap... Goth is a combination of three subgenres. Post-punk/gothic rock, batcave, AND deathrock. all those subgenres make up the one music genre called goth. End of that debate. As for whether or not this band is considered deathrock (or any of the goth subgenres) can be debated though because I cant really help there. Personally Im a bit on the fence. Its not bad music it just seems very different from other bands of its scene.

Goth Rock was a spin-off genre from ENGLAND'S punk scene, started with a little (and legendary) club known as the Batcave.

Deathrock evolved a little later from AMERICA'S punk scene, influenced from Goth Rock bands from England. Overall similar in sound, although the American scene was slightly quicker and more punk-sounding.
