I thought this was the one that went..''say it to my black soul let me bleed say it to my black soul let me bleed'''
or im crazy I know I was at this rave and this song was saying that lol..I was so puckied out maybe it was all just part of my roll trip..could at thought it was real..it kept saying'' say it to my black soul let me bleed ''
being from florida, and watching RITM put on the best visuals ever since early 90's,especially the gold and silver suits were the best.Record was about 10 dollars in orlando during the time
@gb5k I used to have an original copy of this and got rid of it along with all my other records from that era when i dropped out of the scene around 96. There were some great mixes of this track on that record.
Yes, it's an old song, but I will always love this song b/c of Tori Amos. She always gives me an out of body experience. I like Rabbit in the Moon too.
@Deafeye, "noob living in the past"? I think that makes you the noob. Some people like me enjoy the simplified types of techno with a good beat, creativity and a great show. I love RITM much more than most of the stuff the play in the clubs here. A lot of the newer artists
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
saw them in daytona the show was terrible nothing has changed u can watch it on utube and he will pan out act for act exactly as u see it here. the crowd was a total skirv vest and the music was horrible..... i do not recommend unless you are a hippie or someone living in the past
Touche. What the fuck have these guys really released since this fucking single? I live in florida and if I meet another rabbit in the moon fan, Im gonna puke. This song is not even that trippy!!!! It's just a drum loop a piano, a snare roll and a beat. Oh and a lil vocal sample here and there. Lame! Might have been cool in 93, yea, but today a 13 year old with Reason can make this...
Occam's Razor buddy... same applies to everything in life. the most basic and simplistic ideas are usually not only what works best, but are most quickly embraced.
Just think of this way though: If a 13 year old could come up a track that millions love any ol' day of the week, where are your million dollar songs everyday... after all the 13 year old would wake up 13 365 times before he'd be 14... and one year smarter ;)
I did not see a PC any where near that guy who was making the music alot of things he was doing was manually done, old school like, if you knew anything about old school dance music you obviously came from the genre, your just hating on them and your mom is a whore and for your info your missing the ( ' ) on top of the e OH wait thats because your an DEAF EYE! Merci pour l'add you douche-salut.
Hahaha... he has a Dj, and a couple of synths onstage, Oooooo! Like PVD doesn't do that too. Of course he's too busy playing in his little robot suit shooting fireworks. I know plenty about dance music and production since I have a degree in it. Kemo Sabi. This just looks like a bad transformers flick with a shitty dance track. And your Deafeye joke was not even funy. At least try to be funny about being a fucking noob living in the past.
Just because a group has some ignorant fans, it doesn't make them bad. These guys are a historical milestone in the rave scene, like it or not. And everything that goes into it... the stage presence is a big part of why they were so popular. Of course, anybody can make anything with a DAW these days. But as kindofmagicmike said, complexity doesn't make something good.
I found it at RITM's official site that, however, seems to be down. I hope it's just a temporary thing. The website included four remixes for download - OBE, Garbage's "Milk", and Sarah MacLachlan's "Fear" and "Possession." And a nice drum machine.
Hey. First off--I'm not downing RITM. Tori officially came to the music scene in 1988. RITM came 6 years later. They have been known to put their spin on an unusually wide range of acts--including Tori's Precious Things. They even have 2 compilations of 'remix' CDs.
1994's OBE's piano track was directly taken from Tori's Precious Things. Tori even had OBE on her single listed as the "Rabbit in the Moon Remix." To see RITM do it live here is really neat!
Chakram, its good to see someone knows their music. Tori Amos is my favorite of all time, and RITM caught my attention with this remix of Tori. You are totally right though. Tori came along originally in 1988 with Y Kan't Tori Read. Precious things actually came out in 1992 on the Little Earthquakes album. RITM did this in like 94, or 95. All I know is the first time I saw this song performed there was 500+ ravers, dancing their asses off and some of them crying tears of joy. Myself included.

It doesn't matter if is just a piano and a fork and a pan.
What matter is that this guys did it at the right time and when all those softwares that "4 year old kids" can make music now didn't existed.

btw RITM formed in '92, played live in '93, and released O.B.E. as a single in '94. It's a good remix, but very heavily sampled.
