I feel sorry for those who are religious because its empty and worthless. A lifelong dedication for no reward? I am an atheist, and I actually have an incredible, for filling life, I work (full time) for a charity (though I do get paid), I volunteer 3 nights a week, I have a great social life, nice car, lovely house, and I'm a very happy person. Thats not courtesy of god, its courtesy of just being a good human being. I worked for this, I resent people trying to suggest someone 'gave' it to me.

no I don't have proof, but I don't need it. I feel it in my heart in every fiber of my being. I've been a non believer be4 so u can argue every point and until your face turns blue. I have all the proof I need inside of me and all around me. when I am week he gives me strength to keep going, when I feel like I can't go on he lifts me up. I don't need neone telling me other wise.
It's also because when I was younger I went through a lot and lost my faith searched through other religions and things to find solace and peace and a sense of purpose among other things and couldn't. but my heart in the end went back to number one. He helped lift me back up and now it's stronger than ever because no one can convince me he's not there and waver my faith this time...

The Pastor is perfect help. Cause I know you want to mean it but the devil is trying to make you not want to say "yes". YOU have power over satin, he is powerless. Just pray too God and be willing to give up everything in your life and give Him all your life. And admit your a sinner and your lost with out Him. Secondly, I don't believe God will send all the non-believers to hell. I mean, think of Ghandi. He was an amazing man - kind, generous, a peace maker. The judgment day is the rapture, when God comes back for his people, the true christens who dont waste their time turning churches into entertainment. The true churches of God will be ratured into heaven and he'll send down his wrath onto the non-believers.

I feel sorry for those who are religious because its empty and worthless. A lifelong dedication for no reward? I am an atheist, and I actually have an incredible, for filling life, I work (full time) for a charity (though I do get paid), I volunteer 3 nights a week, I have a great social life, nice car, lovely house, and I'm a very happy person. Look you two: Salvation just exist for the ones who believes. If you're not religious, eternal damnation it's just two word with no meaning. On the other hand, for some people, Science it's not enough, they need more, something for their hearts and souls, and that science can't give them.
This serves to both of you: don't think low of other people's beliefs. If you believe in God, that's great for you, but if you don't, that's ok too.
Everyone is entitled to a opinion. So RESPECT, both of you.

i totally agree with you, as I said in my initial comment, believe in god if you wish...I'd never judge anyone based on their opinion, but when they pedal down right idiocy i can't abide it. I'm from a Christian family, I love my family, I just don't agree.
Its that simple for me :]

I appreciate you're opinion and think that if you're happy then that is fine...
However, I've read the bible cover to cover, I grew up in a Christian family, It just so happens I cant see how the bible could be real, as I like proof, so I don't believe - though its a great story. I'm not an oppressive person, I just don't like foolishness and someone trying to tell you a 'fact' when they have no proof.
Hence why science always wins, as it will only b stated if evidence can back it up :]

thats not tru. i have so much, but i still want more (stuff and etc.) i feel sort of empty sometimes. but the more i spend time with God (ie praying reaeding worshipping etc.) I feel so overwhelmingly happy. He'll never leave u-- even if you dont believe he's there
