Jean Simmons resembled her more than anyone else. There were small differences though. Jean had a proportionately larger face, an imperfectly cut jawline, and didn't have Vivien's amazing neck; but was still very beautiful too. In my opinion, Elizabeth Taylor is the most beautiful, head to toe. I love Vivien best as an actress though and her voice is better than Elizabeth's.

Im not sure If I'm the only person who thinks this but, in my opinion, although photographic cameras were not so top back then (did not capture small detail) I do think the photos were nicer. In Viviens photos you cant see any bags, wrinkles, lines or flaws of course because she was beautiful but also because the cameras back then didnt capture all those little details. My mums photos also look like Viviens, no flaws what so ever.

Well, your comment is surprising. Kate Winslet can be compared to Vivien Leigh in term of talent if you like, but in term of beauty, it's impossible ! Kate and Vivien are just not in the same league. In my opinion old cameras should be used for portraits not newer ones as they capture to much unneeded detail eg bags.

My God she is beautiful!!!!! After Gone with the wind you just got to love her! Her story is amazing, nobody knew her when she decided to play Scarlett, and after a few years, everyone knew who she was! So I admire her and I love her!!! Love you Vivien! <3<3<3<3

love her always a STAR x i read again!lol that larry before he died like 8yrs was watching one of her films and said to his friend 'that was this was love' that was the real thing' cause im a hopeless romantic i kinda like to think of them together now u could see in there eyes how much they loved each other and in interviews his eyes kinda lit up when talking of her stars together always x or so i like to think!lol and she was beautiful!

Well, your comment is surprising. Kate Winslet can be compared to Vivien Leigh in term of talent if you like, but in term of beauty, it's impossible ! Kate and Vivien are just not in the same league. Kate is a very average looking girl, the kind of girl next door. Vivien is just zilion times more beautiful, no comparision possible. Vivien is incredibly beautiful, I can't think of any women more beautiful than her, on earth and of all times.

And also, I think that actresses from the 1930's were altogether much better-looking than actresses today.
Just look at Megan Fox or Jessica Alba as examples. They may be two of the most beautiful actresses of our generation, but they have NOTHING on people like Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor, or Audrey Hepburn when they were in their prime.

Another fantastic presentation of the great Hollywood goddesses by Basil. I love the manner in which he changes the music to accompany "Gone with the Wind". I just saw Vivien and Robert Taylor in "Waterloo Bridge". A devastatingly sad ending, but great performance. Thanks Basil for the memories of another great talent.

Yes, and I cannot help but think how much the female has changed. I mean, today the gal would say something like "Yeah, I had to do what I had to do, so live with it!" Decency, morals, and ethics have been replaced with vulgarity, crudity, and shamelessness. Thanks for the comment. I agree! This happens to be one of my most favorite films.
