Definitely one of Cronenberg's less appreciated/more underrated movies.
This ending, I suppose could be considered a cop-out...but to me, it's more a meta reference.
Oh, and Jennifer Jason Leigh is hot in this movie...

How can they think they're back in the real world? They went out of their way to go to that ski lodge, and weren't on a bed like they are at the start of this...even then, someone used a bone gun in that "real world" so I doubt it was real.
