@oneclowndown "unforgettable first love". She sang this in mandarin and taiwanese (ban nam). just don't know other than that, in cantonese or other languages or not.
What an angel....the greatest singer in recorded music history. As a 61 y/o Caucasian Texas cowboy, I discovered Teresa Teng in 2009, thru a Japanese friend in Tokyo. I was awed, stunned, overwhelmed. Since then, I've read everything I can find about her, listened to countless hours of her music, bought CDs, DVDs..I wish I had known about her when she was still with us, but hope and pray her music, charm, elegance, legacy, spread world wide, for time and eternity. Thank you for this one!
really love the last song. "I was supposed to leave you,... but I can't help thinking of you." I grew up listening to this song by Paula Tsui in Cantonese of course, so I could say this song embedded lots of Hong Kong people's collective memories. Now that this version by Teresa is recovered; I hope this song will become taiwanese people's memory.
I am from the Philippines, I've seen the 10 year memorial show of Teresa Teng She's so fantastic. I admire her very much. Can someone publish the life story and the cause of death of Teresa in english though I cannot understand Chinese and Japanese language I love her songs very much. Thanks
Can you quote your source of the information on the age that she died please? I took my information from: "The New York Times" papers online, where they reported that she died at the age of 40 in the Obituaries section! ( I am also aware that in the chinese age system they add 1 year to your western age!).
Thanks Stunningnuts so much for uploading this precious 10 year memorial series! Teresa was absolutely the most talented singer, most stunning and beautiful inside and out.. will remember her forever!
how about translation of these song to english, they are so lovely , i mean the singer and her singing. . what a great singer she is. please and thank you stunningnut.
Even I don't understand what she said I do understand the emotion - all my heart goes to her family, her fans and all the people who loved her. Her songs are my favorite. A Hmong from South East Asia.
I watched the whole Memorial series with great emotion,
sad and sweet at the same time. So many songs from 1992, the year in June we spent an unforgetful evening with her, and she was nice to sing us two nice songs.
Yes I think you can feel the sweetness in her from her songs no matter you understand the lyrics or not. She sings very well, but I think more importantly her voice warm my heart, sweeter than drinking a sweet soup. I cannot feel this easily from other singers. "Wherever there is Chinese, there is Teresa Tang" is no exggeration.
It's a wonderful commemoration and celebration of her life and her achievements. I am just wondering if you have any translation in English for the audiences who do not understand chinese and cantonese as well. I am one of them. :)

This is not being disrespectful but I think her voice has changed a lot from when she was younger. It's not as clear and sweet as before.
