Why did you not let the father have it for this bull shit? If his father had paid that bill Sean would be alive because he would have had his anti anxiety medicine which was a large contributing factor to his death as the jail took it away from him - he was off 6 days at the time of his death. further the jail denied him all medical and psychiatric care when it was obvious he had become physical sick and psychotic. Black people stop acting as if Mental Illness doesn't happen to blacks.

According to the book I Got Your Back. by Gerald and Eddie Levert, Eddie and his first wife had 3 kids together, Gerald, Sean, and Kandace, She helped raise Eddie Jr.

Martha Levert was a wonderful woman according to the book, and also according to Gerald and Eddie himself.

How many children did Eddie and Martha Levert have together? I didn't know that Eddie remarried and has another family. If together Eddie and Martha had (2) I know how she feels. I lost my (1) and only and I felt so lost and so alone. I turned to God even more and HE blessed me this time with a husband and (2) sons. Keep the Faith Martha for a mother's love is far deeper than any ocean, because we carried them inside us. Even when your husband's love comes and goes. A son's love is always there.

With the passing of all the R&B singers that have gone, Heaven has got to be the place to get a good concert ticket. Short list: Luther, Marvin, James, Rick, Lou, Barry, Donny, Gerald, Sean, Johnny, etc. We've been blessed to have had these great voices to entertain us here on earth, and if you get lonely for one of them, you can always put on a cd, dvd, tape, album, video. Sad to see them go, but extremely glad for what they left behind for us to enjoy! RIP GENTLEMEN.

As a boy who grew up with the OJays, then a man who dug LeVert, I am really sad and stunned for the family; but is anyone talking about these 2 young men's lifestyles, and perhaps why they died so tragically young? There's a tendency to canonize people like these, and not address what they were really doing while they were alive. Anybody got enough juice to respond and keep it really real?

Lifestyle would still have all of us guessing, because you can have a person that smoked all their life and live to be 90, and a person who never smoked die from cancer @18. Everybody should live their lives to the fullest EVERYDAY. One things for sure, NOBODY knows when their number will be called! bp
