your elastic strap system is great, does it do a good job of preventing vibrations and sound? how well do they hold in there? and how much is thermal performance affected by using wood instead of metal?
You can't hear the hard drives at all which is nice, but I am a little disappointed with how well the hard drives stay in place. If you don't move the case, they're fine, but if you move the case around on it's wheels and go over a bump it can make the drives slip. It's been 2 years since I made the case and the elastics haven't sagged much under the weight of the drives. Thermal performance is pretty top notch, AMD Athlon X2 6000+ runs at 39C with the stock cooler.
Very nice dude good job.But unnecessary a good case isn't that expensive.Any way very good job you definitely have a talent.Try make an wooden LCD,it will go nice with your case.

You wouldn't happen to have any plans would you? Even just simple drawings? You could make a decent dollar selling plans! And yay go Canada!

@vpklotar
Mahogany, I'm not sure about the specific species but I think it's Khaya (African). The lighter wood is red oak.
