Hi, I am a bit confused. Doesn't Kindle use MOBI format and not EPUB? I want to publish a childrens ebook with greyscale images and I am having massess of trouble with formatting from My Mac version of Word. every time it save to another file extention (.rtf .html) the conversion destroys my layout... can you adivse?

@johnmonk66 Since the making of this video, a further short-cut has been discovered. If you use the Apple Mac OS X and have a copy of the Pages application, it can export straight to the ePub format.

You mentioned that getting an ISBN on lulu means that they will take a cut of your sales. Does that mean they get a percentage of ALL your digital sales, or just if someone orders a physical copy of the book? Is there a way to get an ISBN without having to share your sales with Amazon AND another party?

Also,iIs there a way to increase visibility in Amazon searches? My friend did an ebook on amazon and his book can only be found if you search for the title and his full name.

@josephwinter All these services (Lulu, iBookstore and Amazon) take a cut of your sales otherwise they'd be no point in them hosting your material.

You can get your ISBN from Lulu.com without applying to Amazon - that's why I used that site.

As for increasing visibility on Amazon, I cannot answer that, I am afraid.
