Dusty is really a Irish girl. I saw a tribute by Martha Reeves (Martha and the Vandellas fame/Motown) where she mentioned Dusty as a great friend who sang with a lot of feeling and soul! I always thought she was British also... glad to hear she's Irish though!!

Listening to Dusty is a bit like seeing a white boxer move like a black boxer. Her timing and phrasing was unique for a white singer. Such a shame she only made it to 60. Dusty should still be knocking them out now at age 71.

I also think Dusty was the sexiest British singer ever. Actually she was sexy on both sides of the pond. (I live here in Atlanta, GA). As a kid growing up in the 1960's (born in 1963), Dusty was one of my first two crushes (I won't tell you the other one at this point).
