mamba max is more powerful than the sidewinder the flux brushless system in the new e firestoerm is a sidewinder.

they are both produced by Castle creations and the two systems use the exact same motor. The only difference is the speed control which is more easily programmed with the Mamba Max, it is manually set with the Sidewinder but has an optional CastleLink cable to program like the MM. The guy driving the gt2 also has a t-4 like mine but with a mamba max, otherwise they are almost identical. We have run them together many times and they are just as fast as each other.

The Sidewinder is not as powerful as the Mamba Max, it will only deliver about 2/3 of the power to the motor that the Mamba Max can. It is a budget system from Castle Creations. Check their website for detail specs :-)

yeah, the mamba max speed control is a much better pruduct. They are both WAY overpowered for these t-4's. We both have the settings set to almost the lowest points, and we still break often. Gotta love brushless and Li-Po!

no, the esc can only handle 2/3 of the power the mamba max can. the sidewinder with the 5700kv motor can only use 2 cell lipo. where the mamba max can handle 3cell. the power going to the motor is the same. 2cell and below they will have the exact same speed/ performance.

??? Are you asking what a cheap lipo cost or what a cheap combination charger costs? A decent lipo batt. is about 100 to 120 bucks, you can get a cheap charger that does up to 3 cell lipo and nimh and nicd batts for about 75 bucks without a balancer. I have charged my 2 cell lipo without a balancer and havnt had any problems.

the gear mesh on the t4 is wayyyy to tight i can hear it and thats not a brushless system making the noise b.c i have the same one.

I left the diff cover off and the spur gear got ground up with dirt so it is noisy, not tight. Secondly you are a window-licker. I have a sidewinder 5700 kv in it. B.L. motors are extremely quite so all you heard was the moisy spur gear, or Shawns nitro truck. "It is better to keep quite and have people think you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

i got all new dirtworks for my t4 now, hopefully i dont strip the wheels, i havnt had that problem on my t4 yet, maybe ill put some lockwashers on there like u were saying. i should be able to get some mad air like u were here.

cool, I talked to RPM and they suggested a couple of their wheels that the cawlers use, they even gave me part # for wheels with the same width and backspacing! Besides making kick ass products they have great customer and technical support. Its like Summit for r/c cars.

yea, i was impressed with my vxl brushless system too but thats back at the manufacturer being repaired. yea lighter weight would help

idk, motor stopped working, just twitched a little, i think its the esc cuz it smells like its fried. the motors are really reliable but the speed controls, not so much lol.
