I can't really decide if i liked being a vampire better in Skyrim or Oblivion, you do get way better powers in skyrim but i missed being able to wait three days and then run and jump like five times faster and higher than you could before- it just made you feel epic.

Werewolves rock in this game. You kill people in like, 2 swipes, you regen health as you feed, you are 100% resisting disease, and there's nothing bad about it except that you get some bad attention when you transform, which lets you feed more, so it's actually good

@Army2057 as you get higher levels the werewolf becomes useless and you can only use once a day anyway. you also cannot feed on dwarven stuff and draugr which gives you no way to heal. but ur right. it does suck that you get destroyed by fire and cant go out during the day when you are a vampire

recede = withdraw, in other words weaken. you get stronger by starving yourself, not feeding. I'm fairly certain that you never need to eat, though once you reach stage 4 everyone will attack you on sight.

I've heard a rumor that if you become a werewolf during progression from one vampire stage to another you become a hybrid, but get locked in that vampire stage. I don't know if it's true, but stage 3 vampwolf would be beast.

@neossiss Werewolves can throw and scare people, and can't be diseased. Vampires have a few decent spells and can't walk in sunlight, can only feed on the sleeping and have a 50% weakness to fire. Werewolves are better.

You do NOT grow stronger by feeding.

Feeding resets you to a Stage 1 vampire.

As you continue without feeding, your powers will become stronger, and when you reach final stage Vampire, you get your most powerful abilities, but villagers will attack you on sight.

@KHgamin2011 I actually prefer werewolf. Pretty much no drawbacks, except not being able to get a well rested bonus.  My biggest problem with being a vampire is the fire weakness :\

Although now that I think of it, my Dark Elf might be a good cantidate for a vampire due to his natural resistance to fire that'll help even it out...

The 100% reduced regen in sunlight is easily combated by having +regen enchanted gear.
