  • Gotta love the singing! lol... "good time when you get outta my waaaayy...."

  • "any time is a good time to get out of my way".... YES!!!!

  • That's actually the law from two different aspects. The first being that it is simply the law that you can be cited for failure to yield. It does happen whether you're the driver or not. Secondly, you'd get charged for hindering a police investigation. That's also happened a couple times in my day.

  • what is this siren ?

  • @strauss135 Carson SA 500

  • Good driving :) You actually STOPPED a looked at the red.

  • @406314 I can't remember...either I didn't have much memory left on my card, or we were very close to arriving on scene and I had to get my gloves on haha.

  • That ylen13 apparently trolls around the ambo videos wishing death and mayhem on those who are requesting medical assistance.

  • You lucky i was not in that traffic, you would be sitting behind me with your siren for a long time. No cop=no ticket

  • @ylen13 So you don't pull over for ambulances?

  • @MidnightPolak Not unless cop is around

  • @ylen13 Ok, so if you were having a medical emergency, you'd want everyone to block the paramedics? I hope that happens to you.

  • @MidnightPolak That is fine with me, I can only die once. So if it happens, it happens.

  • @ylen13 Well fine, if you don't care. But who are you to decide the fate of others? Why block an ambulance that's on its way to help those in need? Pulling over will not really waste much of your time, but those seconds could be crucial to another person.

  • @MidnightPolak It is very simple, because i can. Ambulance/Fire truck is requesting for permission to pass(okay they demand but it's still a request) being that that they can't ticket you if you refuse. As such, i am simply denying the request.

  • @ylen13 Maybe in the States. In Canada, it is illegal to do so. Usually the medics/firefighters will get the plate and forward it to the police, who will track you down (happened to my friend).

But man, why do you have to be so selfish??

  • @MidnightPolak So big deal they track you down. You tell the cops to take a hike because they have no proof that it was you driving and they didn't see you violate the law. As for why I have to be so selfish, well it's pretty simple, because I can.

  • @MidnightPolak

actaully it is illegal in MA usa not sure where the hell that asshole is from

  • @firedude201234 He's from here, apparently...but it's also illegal here. But I'm sure he'll learn that the law of physics will not be on his side as a huge fire engine will one day crash into his car...

  • @firedude201234 ---wow, that guy is an asshole

  • @ylen13 Actually, You can be ticketed and even arrested for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. I have arrested several people who wouldn't move when I was rolling Code 3 to calls. I'm a Police Officer and I can tell you now In EVERY STATE you MUST PULL TO THE RIGHT AND STOP, Clear any intersection and wait for the authorized emergency vehicle to pass. There's a reason they have lights and a sire.n

  • @LCESstudios Any idiots that do not move for cops deserved to be arrested. We are talking about an ambulance here. Unless a police officer witness the violation, nothing can be done about it.

  • @ylen13 If you were shot,Stabbed or having a heart attack you'd want these guys to come and help you as fast as possible. The fact is that you are required by law to move for them.

  • @LCESstudios You're required, wow why did you not say so :D Big deal, law requires you to do a lot , it do not mean a thing. The fact is simple, unless cops is around nothing will happen to those that block an ambulance or fire truck. Both of them are requesting right of way as they do not have a power of arrest. Only one that basically demanding that you move over or else is a police officer as they have the power to ticket or arrest you.

  • @ylen13---What if this ambulance was on it's way to help one of your family members or even yourself for that matter? I bet you would be bitching because the ambulance didn't respond quick enough because some idiot driver blocked the ambulance and didn't pull over like they should. It's people like you that take seconds/ minutes off saving a persons life and I have no respect for these people.

  • @TRIXSTER03 I guess my family member or me may not make it. Oh well, we can only die once, so if I or my family members die we die, it's life.

  • @ylen13 If I get a call of you in arrest, and I respond to that call. You'll be hoping that no one gets in my way so I can come resusitate your sorry ass as fast a possible.

  • @ylen13 They are not requesting. They are simply giving you fair warning to move your ass out of the way. They are not asking for you to please pull over at your convenience, that siren mean move and do so now. Cop or no cop, they have the right of way. It's ok though, you are probably a teenager and have no clue how the world works. You'll learn and one day someone will put you in your place. Until then, keep sniffing your mother's underwear.

  • @Snosbod If 35 year old is teenager by your standard, then yes i am teenager. No have put me in place yet and unlikely to do so anytime soon. Unless cop is around they cant' do anything about me ignoring them.

  • @ylen13 You act like an angsty little teenager. You're grammar sucks. You need to come to my town and see how we would react to you obstructing our apparatus. We'd put you right in your place, on the side of the road.

  • @Snosbod My lawyer(s) would love it if you did that. They would have fun time suing your department for pain and suffering.

  • @ylen13 - Sorry, I know this is a little overdue, but generally in most places we nab your license plate and you get a ticket in the mail for failure to yield... anyways.

  • @rileyhmt I guess you didn't read other reply(s). Register owner is not responsible for the action of the driver. As such unless police officer witness the violation(s) and pulls vehicle over nothing will happen. That ticket will easily be dismissed and likely not even issued as police officer do not know who was driving the vehicle. Would you like to try again?

  • @ylen13 - That's generally what traffic court is for. Explain red light cameras? Do you think every registered owner is cited? Look, I'm not here to argue, I simply stated what happens often times. And GENERALLY it would never happen unless you intentionally wouldn't move from the from the front of our ambulance.

  • @rileyhmt No it's very simple no ticket is issue. I speak from experience.

  • @ylen13 - I also speak from experience being as how I work with all four aspects of public safety, both full time and volunteer. We will cite you for failure to yield. And yes, it does happen. It may not have happened that ONE time, but like I said, if you are intentionally creating an issue, we will cite you.

  • @rileyhmt Good luck with that. You can't site an owner of the vehicle as that person is not responsible for the action of the driver. A simple state it wasn't me driving will be enough to dismiss the ticket. Btw the owner is not required to tell the cops who was driving. Owner is not required to do their job.

  • @ylen13 - and just when did I say that I would push you off the road? I believe you have the wrong person.

  • @rileyhmt Sorry about that you're correct, i reply to wrong person.

  • @ylen13

you don't pull over if you're a jerk... it's still the law in BC to pull to the nearest curb for emergency vehicles

  • @ylen13 Lol.. don't pull over for an ambulance? really? Why do you think yuo are so high and mighty? Oh well, karma always get fucktards liek you anyway. And if i seen someone doign that, and i was in a position to do so, I would push them outta the ambulance's way with my truck. no cop = never happened.

  • you BC paramedics are awesome! :-D 5/5 guys!

  • Good attitude while running code, keep it light. It's kind of funny watching some of my partners get their BP elevated yelling at traffic.

  • Loving the vids man! We were told during our code 3 training that driving over those islands can damage the Crestlines, but I guess half the vehicle will not wreck anything.

PS - I think I know who this is. ;-)

  • Thanks! Yeah too bad I can't do any ride alongs right now :(

Apparently they have protection on the underside, but I think it's just if you dorve the whole rig perpendicular to the island, there would be some serious damage.

Yes there are some characters at 249 ;)

  • lol nice singing!

  • woo! Thats a Carson siren isn't it!! =D

    great video!

    five stars!!

  • Thanks, hopefully I'll have more videos up within a month, and yes it's a Carson SA-500 :)

  • I can't wait to become a paramedic. Going to be an awsome career.

  • Awsome. Just Awsome. I love the part when the medic starts to sing his way through traffic.

  • Yeah, it shows what going through traffic is really like for first responders. And that paramedic who is driving is pretty funny, he always does random things :D

  • it says whelen in the tag idk if you mean lights cause that sounds like a carson

  • Yes, the siren is Carson (SA-500 or something), but the lights are Whelen

  • Ok i saw that after and i felt like an idiot my bad. great video

  • Ahaha it's okay, it was a fair question anyway - I should've placed the tags in a better order! And thanks!

  • @krazyjk022 it is a carson siren. the speakers are whelen though

  • Nice, but short. Could have been longer.

    Whats an observer?

  • I know, but it was hard holding my camera when sitting in a rear-facong seat. An observer is someone who comes and watches up close what the paramedics do, in terms of treatments and whatnot. Its usually paramedic students who do it. I did it so I would be more prepared for my Medical First Responder course. It was probably the most important first-aid lessons I ever received! The medics also let me handle oxygen and other equipment, which was great.

  • Can anyone do it or only certain people?

  • Yeah, pretty much anyone can do it, I guess. But they prefer you have a certain reason for doing it (such as being in med school or about to do EMR/MFR), like I mentioned earlier. And I think you have to be 19 years old at least. But even if you said "I'm interested in paramedic work, but I don't know if I'd enjoy it", that would a be a good reason to get a glimpse of "a day in the life of...". It's also good to have some first aid background, like Standard First Aid with AED or lifeguard.

  • You have to be 16 to do a ride-along. But age 19 to take the PCP/ Primary Care Paramedic course.

  • Ok, thanks

  • @TRIXSTER03 Is it sixteen for EMS? For the fire department its 14, 18 for vollunteer
