hiphoponluxe, i am not uninformed, i am an independent artist that has done it all for years, and yes, i was stolen from, by a major artist and a few threats got him shut down, let me tell you somthing the music industry is trash, we can all see that, and if you don't agree with me, then fine, but don't call me uninformed when i am living the life everyday and all true independent artists know how foul the industry truly is
Im not calling you uninformed. But you sound uninformed from your past statements. I am also a music professional and work with major label and independent artists and labels on a daily basis. When you say copyrighting your material is a way to actually get your work stolen doesnt make much sense to me. Thats my opinion. True. Then to say that the mastering process is some bull you can do yourself, well, that's not really accurate. That may be the one thing I'd suggest you NOT to do yourself
oh please, all of these major artists that steal everyday...copyright is a way to get stolen from, and so is other things like mastering and other bull that you can do on your own, but i do recommend copyrighting, just in case... because if your an independent, YOU WILL BE STOLEN FROM. TRUST ME.
georgiagritz, you sound pretty uninformed, in terms of both copyrights and mastering. If you are an artist or a producer, I would be glad to give you some more info on both offline via email.
