I find the siren incredibly peaceful sounding. I was at the zoo once for a trip and there was a storm and this played, and it totally relaxed me. My friends and I joked about Silent Hill and Pyramid Head coming around to see the animals.

here in illinois in the very small town that i live in this siren goes off every day at noon as a test and sometimes at night if there is a fire or tornado warning, i actually woke one night to this siren and i thought i was in a dream and i reached for my shotgun under the bed and thats when it hit me that i was awake, scared the shit outta me, cause i was in the basement when i finally realized that i wasnt dreaming

This reminds me of an shelter simulator. Being in the dark shelter hearing the air-raid siren the whole time but also first the sound of bombers,,, then AA-guns opening fire,,, explosions that come closer and closer and you could feel how the shelter shaked.

i realy hate tornado sirens the government says it is "required" to test them weekly. :'( it reminds me of silent hill all the time and every one who watched the movie freaks out and start complaing about the government using the noise to make ppl panic. to be honest it spooks me all the time :'{

The tornado sirens where I live are kind of like this, but higher pitched. But a friend in Hawaii said their tsunami sirens sound just like this. She was like "Imagine being woken up at like 6 am to these, when it's still kinda dark out."
